You can't help falling in love

When I woke up the next morning, I was in total confusion. Was that really a date? We didn't talk that much, and she basically fell asleep. Am I that boring? My head had too many questions flowing in it, so I decided to go downstairs and eat breakfast. My mom always makes bacon and waffles in the morning, yeah weird combination, but it's the best thing ever. I had two waffles and a bunch of bacon until I was ready to go to school. I walked to the bus stop with my sister Aaliyah. She was on her phone the whole time, so I was basically alone. When we reached the bus stop, the bus just turned onto the street, so we were just in time. When I got on, I was looking for an open seat, when someone grabbed my arm and pulled me into their seat. Of course, it was Veronica. I was kind of mad at her for some reason, maybe it was because she fell asleep or that she took me out on a date without even telling me.

"Hey Mendes." She said while looking out the window. I ignored her and put my headphones in my ears and listened to music. I think she got the hint, but not quite.

"Why the long face?" She said pulling out my headphone from my ear. I turn my head and look at her.

"Maybe it's because you fell asleep on me and I had to take you home, maybe it's because I had to use a GPS to get us home, maybe it's because you took me out on a date and didn't even tell me!" I practically yelled that last part out. Everyone on the bus was staring, and Veronica was trying to hold in her laugh.

"What?!?" I said furiously, now that everyone on the bus was staring at me. That's when she laughed.

"Where did you get these crazy inferences from?" She said still laughing. I just looked at her in confusion and embarrassment.

"You should see how red your cheeks are." She said still laughing. I just made a total fool out of myself.

"One: I was really tired. Two: It's not a big deal to use a GPS and three: It was not a date." she said still chuckling.

"Well I just made a fool out of myself." I said and laughed as the bus came to a stop at the school.

"Indeed you did." She said patting my back while we got off the bus.
