Serenity dreaded going to school. Every day it was the same exact bullshit. Getting picked on for how she dressed, the way she talked, and the worst, the way she failed. Every day it was a constant reminder of how she felt she wasn't good enough. She hated school and everyone in it.

But no matter how she felt about school, it was 10 times better than home. At least at school, she could fly under the radar if she was lucky that day, but at home, she was the epicenter of emotional and verbal abuse. Her mother hated her sexuality and the fact that Serenity "chose" a "disgusting lifestyle". She just wanted a break. So, boxing was a getaway for her, even if she thought she wasn't great.

Once Felicity and Serenity walked into the school, all eyes went their way. Serenity was used to it, but Felicity hated the eyes that hopped on her like a pair of sticky ass frog legs. It was like Brooklyn all over again, but instead, there weren't niggas trying to fight her for practically looking better than them or making them feel 'less of a man'.

"Looks like Serenity fucking dykes just like her," A football player, Matt had said approaching Serenity and Felicity.

Serenity looked at him like he was crazy, but shot some words at him. "I'm not a fucki-"

Felicity pushed him into the lockers and whispered in his ear. "Well, this dyke here will fuck you up. More like tie you up, put you in my basement, and shoot your so-called man dingo dick off. From the looks of it, you ain' got shit. I bet you my dyke ass has a longer dick than you'll ever have. Now if I see your shawty around hea', better keep her behind ya back because she will be fucking my dyke ass. Talk to Serenity again like that and I'll cut ya dick off in front of your friends," Felicity warned.

She didn't like people disrespecting others and others like her. She hated the terms skink, carpet muncher, and the evilest of them all, dyke.

From the looks, upon the young man's face, he was livid but showing more of a frightened look than anything. Felicity meant what she said. She didn't care what and where she stayed or went, she wasn't changing for anybody.

Felicity walked back over to Serenity and wrapped her arm over her shoulder. Serenity looked up at Felicity and wanted to ask her a question but decided against it when Felicity told her 'Don't worry about it'. The way Felicity said it made Serenity a little bit on edge. But on the other hand, she was even more intrigued. She wanted to know more about Felicity. Because despite knowing her name, Serenity had no knowledge of who or where Felicity came from. She was so mysterious.

"What the fuck all y'all starin' at? Keep it movin'!" Felicity roared. Everybody went back to what they were doing and pretended that what just happened, didn't. Serenity guessed that they didn't want to be another victim of Felicity's wrath like Matt was.

Along with their walk to class, Serenity kept wondering who was Felicity. Felicity never got to let anybody know who she really was because every female that she either wanted to talk to, get to know, and or even be friends with, they just wanted what they heard she was good at.

But there was this one chick. Well, bad jawn is what they called it back in Brooklyn. Her name was Keima. Felicity loved that name with a passion. It wasn't like the ol' Brittny or Jazmine, it was unique and different and that's what caught Felicity's eyes besides Keima's looks. And besides the looks, Felicity loved that girl's name.

Keima and Felicity was the "it" couple. Kind of like Dessi and Nie, but better. You'd never see them without each other because they were just that close. Until the evening her aunt's husband got into some mess.

Keima and Felicity were taking a stroll in the park because they both had an early dismissal from school and Felicity didn't have work until 10. So, she thought everything was cool until somebody in a mask ran up behind her, pushed her, and wrapped their arm around Keima's neck threatening to kill her if Felicity didn't have what he wanted.

"I want that ten thou' and I want it quick!" The man yelled pressing the cold hard metal against Keima's skull.

Keima was calm throughout it all. She knew that one day it would've been her or Felicity, but she also knew that in the future they would be married and taking care of Leighton, Keima's son and done with running and protecting themselves.

"Aye b, I don't get it. If this is because of my uncle, he got yo' shit not me," Felicity said holding her hands up in surrender position. "Just let my girl go."

"I'll kill her right here. Give me my motherfuckin' ten thou'!" He yelled again.

Felicity didn't have anything on her and she surely didn't have ten thousand bricks on her.

"Look, man here's the key's to my car the money is in there just let my girl go, son," Felicity demanded.

He snatched the key's from Felicity's hand and started to back away. Felicity knew he was up to something and yelled. "Duck Keima!" but shit was too late. Keima got struck in the back of her back and Keima then hit the ground.

Felicity ran to her and held her into her arms. "I got you baby don't die on me now. You gone be straight I promise you. Just stay here with me," Felicity cried.

Keima smiled and ran her hand across Felicity's face. "Baby I'm good. Just do me two favors," Keima requested.

"Yeah, baby?" Felicity answered.

"K-keep Leighton from this shit. Move away, far from this shit. Stay away from this shit. You gotta stop this li and live for the bett-" Keima sentence was cut short when she started to cough up blood.

Felicity wiped her mouth with their sweater. "Baby stay with me. Help is on the way. Just st-"

Keima raised her hand to Felicity's mouth and covered it. Keima smiled one last time before shutting her eyes and having her hand drop.

Felicity kissed her lips one last time before giving Keima one last hug before getting up, wrapping her hair into a bun, and pulling up her sweats.

"I love you, baby. Watch me get this nigga," Felicity said kissing both her index and middle finger and throwing it up to the sky.

And that's what as all she said before she ran off.

"Felicity stop!" Serenity yelled as she watched the whole thing come down in front of her eyes.
