Felicity and Serenity walked into Felicity's house. Felicity didn't know where to actually practice because she had just moved to L.A. and Serenity knew if she went back home, her mother would've cussed her head off and kicked her out like she did several times before.
"Your house is amazing," Serenity said complementing Felicity's place.
"Appreciate it," Felicity answered.
Better than living in a packed apartment with a bunch of immature ass adults, Felicity said inwardly.
Felicity eyed Serenity as she walked and admired the living and dining room. Felicity liked the curious side of Serenity. She had never seen someone so wondrous before. It was always keep your nose and eyes on your face and never hop into someone else's shit or of course, it's your head instead of the person you're watching.
"Aww is this your son?" Serenity asked Felicity pointing at the picture she seen Felicity holding Leighton around her neck and them both smiling.
Serenity noticed that Leighton and Felicity looked exactly the same.
Of course, he wasn't her son biologically, but she was his mother and his aunt at the same time. Leighton first words were mama to her aunt instead of her so, ever since then, she was classified as aunty Li.
It did hurt Felicity a little but she ignored it and smiled anyway.
"Nah, he's my nephew," Felicity responded walking up behind Serenity.
"What's his name?" Serenity asked Felicity turning around.
"Leighton," Felicity said smiling proudly.
She had gotten to choose his name. It was a name Felicity and her best bro, Khouri loved every since they were kids. So, naming him was everything and more to her.
"That name is unique and different. I love it," Serenity said giving Felicity a bright smile.
"Appreciate it," Felicity said. "Down the hall is the bathroom if you need to use it. Do you want anything to grub on?"
Serenity furrowed her eyebrows wondering what grub meant. "Huh?" She asked.
Felicity let out a chuckle when she came to a conclusion that Serenity didn't know what grub meant. "I have to remind myself that I'll have to cut down on this slang, but I mean do you want something to eat before we get to practicing?" Felicity asked.
