Chapter Eight: Family Reunion

HIS'S P.O.V:

I was sitting in the stadium with my son August by my side. After hearing my little brother's singing, so many memories came back to me, before everything that happened to us. My smile dropped, as the memories kept flowing. Some good, some I rather forget. "Father, what's wrong?" I looked down at my son. He looks just like his mother, so curious about the world, kindness in his heart. No hate, no anger toward people. So pure, but then they are moments where I see myself. Mischievous likes to scheme. There is a bit of darkness in his heart. He takes pleasures in making chaos. 

I wish his mother was by his side. Always. Looking out for him, taking care of him, giving him the love and attention he deserves. A better parent than I'll ever be. "Nothing is wrong August. Hey, can you do me a favor?" He nodded his head but had confused look on his face. "I would like you to go see your Uncle without me, okay?" I gave him a small smile. "What! Why?" He asked. "Because I want to give him a little more time before it happens. I can't show my face just yet. But you can. Know one has ever seen you, and they don't know that you are my son." I tried to explain to him.

This is technically the first time Natsu and August have ever met. But I've sent him a letter about August. "Okay, Father." After that, we headed to the hotel that Natsu was staying at. "Okay, go ahead son I'll see you soon." He looked up at me and gave me a nod. With that, he walked inside. My smile slowly faded away. I went to where I was staying. In the forest, I always loved nature but I always kill, without even looking at it. I laid in the dead grass, looking upon the stars. How beautiful they are, twinkling the night away. My eyelids started to get heavy and soon darkness took over.

NATSU'S P.O.V:

I felt something attached to my arm, when I looked down it was my nephew. He does look like a mix of Mavis and my brother. I looked at the clock, it was 7:30 in the morning. We better get ready, "Hey August, time to get up." I shook him. Still asleep, I started to shake him harder. "Seems like we have to do this the hard way." I got out of bed and jumped back on it. Making August land hard on the floor. I smirked down on him as he groaned. He glared at me, "Was that really necessary Uncle Natsu?" "Yes, yes it was. Besides we need to get ready." He got up and groaned. We walked to the bathroom to get ready. 

We were walking to the cafe inside the hotel. "Hey Natsu, over here!" I saw Lucy waving at me. I nudge at August to follow. We sat down with Luce, Gray, Erza, Mira, Gajeel, Wendy, Levy, Lisanna, and Romeo. "So Natsu, why don't you tell us more about your nephew?" Luce asked. I nervously chuckled, I don't know what to actually say to them. That this is my first time really meeting my own nephew. "Well actually," August spoke, gaining everyone's attention. "This is our first time meeting each other," August said shyly. "What really?" Gray asked. We both nodded. "How come?" Erza asked. So many questions! "Because, well. My Father, kept me inside our home, ever since I was just a baby. He didn't want anything to happen to me. I often get very lonely back at home. Since there were no other children my age. I was homeschooled too and Father wasn't always around since he's an important person back at home. Most of the time it would be just me inside our home." After hearing that, I'm going to have a serious talk with my so-called brother. My hands were shaking, I could feel pain throughout my whole body. Especially at my chest, at my heart. Feeling like my heart is being tainted by darkness. Was this his plan? Making me angry, by bringing August to me. That son of -- wait we have the same mom. I looked down at my hands, they were turning black. I quickly put them in my pocket.

LUCY'S P.O.V:

I saw Natsu put his hands in his pocket, awfully quick. I wonder what's wrong with him. "So August, how old are you?" Mira asked. August's eyes widen. He looked at Natsu, who's eyes widened too. "I-I'm thirteen, yeah thirteen. I look thirteen right?" August nervously laughed. So did Natsu. What's up with these two? "So guys, shouldn't we start heading to the arena?" Natsu asked. "Yes, we should. Let us be off." Erza announced. We all agreed and started to leave.

We walked to the stadium and the crowd was going wild. The pumpkin king was in the middle of the arena. "HELLO EVERYONE! WELCOME BACK TO THE SECOND DAY OF THE GUILD GAMES! NOW PLEASE ALL GUILDS PLACE IN A NAME FROM YOUR TEAM!" The pumpkin king announced. "I'll go," Gray smirked. "Alright." Erza agreed. Erza wrote Gray's name onto the paper and placed it into the floating box. "OKAY THE NEXT CHALLENGE IS A FIGHTING MATCH!" Silence. "Aw yeah!" Gray yelled. Natsu groaned and said, "How come Gray gets to fight on his try!" "Shut up Flame brain!" While those two were arguing, I saw August talking to the first master. They were really getting close, they both look so happy. Like they've finally found one another. Weird. "Lucy, is something wrong?" Erza asked. "It's just that, isn't weird?" I whispered to her. "What is and why are you whispering?" "Shh! I mean August and Mavis. Don't they look a lot alike? And the way he said his age earlier. He looked somewhat nervous when he answered it. And how come he's just now meeting Natsu? I know he said his father didn't want him out of the house as much. But, I don't know this all seems too weird. Nothing match up. And last night, Mavis and I overheard a conversation between the two." I told her. "What were they talking about?" Erza asked. I looked at Natsu, he took a glimpse of us and looked back at the arena. "I'll tell you later." "Okay but, when you put it that way, it doesn't quite make sense. Them I mean. We'll have to keep an eye on those three." At the corner of my eye, I saw Natsu glaring at Erza and me. It sent shivers down my spine.

Gray was up first it seems like he was going to fight Lyon. I decided to go to the bathroom before the fight starts. When I walked out of the bathroom, I was immediately slammed into the wall. I looked up to see a very scary Natsu. "N-Natsu? What are you doing?" "You need to stop asking questions Lucy and to stop spying on me and my nephew. Or something bad will happen to you." "Are you threatening me Natsu?" I asked him. Not even sure if I am talking to the same Natsu anymore, I've known Natsu since day 1 of me joining Fairy Tail. "No, I'm warning you. Now, do you understand?" I didn't answer him, I just stared blankly at him. Trying to understand why is he doing this. He slammed his fist to the wall, making a giant a whole by my head, "Do. You. Understand?" He greeted his teeth. I nodded my head. "Good." He went to another direction. "Aren't you going to watch Gray's fight," I asked him. He didn't even look back all he said was, "I think we both know, who's going to win." What's happening to you Natsu?
