Chapter Nineteen: Mother

GRAY'S P.O.V:

We finally found a place to hide and rest. Wendy and Chelia have been healing any injured people. It was actually peaceful. "Okay everyone listens up!" I spoke too soon. Erza got everyone's attention. "We have to make a plan to save Natsu!" Erza yelled. "Why! He lied to us about everything! About his past! About who he truly was!" Rufus from Sabertooth yelled. "It doesn't matter! He's been with us since the beginning! Why would he sacrifice himself in dangerous situations! Why would he always protect us! And why would he always tell us how friends, how a family is important and how we should protect them!" Erza snapped. Everyone went silent. "Exactly! Natsu never gave upon us! And we will never get up on him! Even if he was keeping the fact he's E.N.D and he's Zeref's little brother! He's nothing like his brother! Now we're going to save Natsu with everything we got!" Everyone cheered at Erza's speech. Even if Natsu was our friend, He's not Natsu anymore. He's E.N.D, Zeref's strongest demon. And I promise my Father to defeat E.N.D even if it is Natsu.

"GUYS! ZEREF'S DEMONS FOUND US!" One of the guild wizards yelled. Crap! Not all of are healed just yet. Then Natsu landed on top of a rock with no expression on his face. "GUILD WIZARDS! TODAY IS THE DAY YOU WILL FINALLY BE PURIFIED BY ZEREF AND HIS DEMONS! YOU SHOULD FIND THIS A BLESSING! NOT HAVE TO LIVE IN THIS CORRUPTED WORLD ANYMORE!" Everyone was looking at Natsu like he was crazy. Like I said before, he's not the Natsu we all knew. "Natsu, please! We're your friends! Your family!" Wendy yelled. She had tears in her eyes. In a blink of an eye, Natsu was dangling Wendy by her throat. Everyone gasped. Everyone knew that Natsu practically treated Wendy like his own little sister. She was gasping for air and he punched her in the stomach. Sending her flying. "ATTACK!" I was about to charge at Natsu when I saw tears go down his cheeks.

NATSU'S P.O.V:

"Natsu! You're taking this way too far!" Sting and Rogue came charging at me. I sighed. I punched both of them in the stomach. They both passed out. Now, where's that metalhead, "Natsu! You're going to pay for that!" There he is. "Iron Dragon-" Before he could finish I punched him the stomach, knocking him out too. "Natsu!" I turned around to face a very angry Erza. "Your next battle will be with me and I promise I won't be as easy as the others." "Of course Titania. But I think someone else would want to see you first. IRENE!" This is going to be an opponent even Erza can't defeat.

ERZA'S P.O.V:

After Natsu yelled the name Irene all of the demons stopped fighting. And a woman walked beside Natsu. Everyone gasped and there's a very good reason why. This woman looked just like me.

"Erza, I would like for you to meet your Mother. Irene this is you daughter Erza Scarlet but people like to call her Titania." Natsu explained. I glared at both of them, "I don't have a Mother. I was abandoned at-" "Rosemary Village. I placed you in front of the church, where I thought you would be safe from all of this. But you were just like me when I was age. Strong, independent, caring for others. I am so proud of the woman you've become." I didn't even know I was crying until my so-called mother walked up to me and wiped my tears off. "Why did you abandon me? All alone?" I couldn't stop the tears from flowing. Is this the feeling of a mother's love? "I never wanted to leave you my little rose. But I had no choice." She pulled me into a hug and hugged me tightly. "I'm here now Erza, that's what is important right now." "I just have one more question Mother." "And what is that my little rose?" "Why are you fighting with Zeref?"

She seemed stunned at my words. "Because I owe him a favor. And until I'm done with that favor. He owns me." What did Zeref do for her that now he owns her until her debt is paid? "Please tell me what happened," I begged her. "I'm sorry, I cannot right now. But what I need for you to do is to fight alongside me." I glared at her, "Do you really think I'm going to fight my friends? My family!" I yelled at her. She seemed taken back by my words and then she glared back at me. "I expect to fight with your real family. Your mother. I brought you into this world Erza!" She yelled back. "I'm sorry. Even if you are my Mother. I won't fight my family." Her face looked sad, disappointed, but then turned into anger. "I see how it is. Seems like I will have to make you join us by force even if I have to kill everyone in your so-called family."

GRAY'S P.O.V:

Erza and her so-called Mom started to battle each other and so was everyone else. I looked over at Natsu and he seems to be deep in thought. I charged at him. He saw me charging at him and caught my wrist. I struggled against his hold and he smirked. "Seems like I am more powerful than you. But sorry we can't finish this fight, I am needed elsewhere." He kicked me in the stomach but thanks to my demon slayer magic, I didn't get knocked out. He smirked back at me before he took off, headed south. I need to stop him and end him! Before he does any more damage.
