Chapter 35: Til Death Do us Part

This isn't going to end well. Mavis, she looks murderous. She has her son's blood all over. Her eyes were wide and alert. She wasn't going to win against Zeref, but she will die trying. 

MAVIS'S P.O.V: 

It might be futile to fight him but, I won't give up. He has killed enough people, our son will the last blood he'll spill. I'll stop him even if it kills me, I'll put an end to this. 

"Aaahhhhh!!!!!" I charged at him with full force. 

"What a nuisance," Zeref mumbled. He dodged my first attack and hit me on the back of her head. Putting me unconscious.  

ZEREF'S P.O.V: 

Her unconscious body fell on the ground. "Well, that was quick," Natsu remarked. 

I lifted her up bridal style, cradling her in my arms. I kissed her pale forehead, "I'm sorry my dear. But, it must be this way. I'll see you on the other side." I whispered. I placed her softly on the ground, "It's time for the extraction. Make sure no one interrupts me. I need to concentrate on this, nothing else." 

Natsu nodded his head. I took in a deep breath and started the chant. I could feel her magic slipping away out of her and into me. Along with her life, her breathing was slowing down. Her chest isn't rising as high. Her skin is showing less color, she was getting paler by the minute. I was killing her, again. 

"NATSU!" I looked over my shoulder to see the ice demon slayer. Just what we needed, a stripper trying to stop us. 

"NATSU, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING? STOP HIM! HE'S KILLING MAVIS!!!" I rolled my eyes at his irritating voice. 

"Natsu," I called for him. 

"Hmm?" He asked. 

"Kill him," I ordered. "Of course, Brother." 

NATSU'S P.O.V: 

I charged at Gray with full force. "NATSU! SNAP OUT OF IT!" Gray yelled. He dodged my attack and headed to Zeref. I used my tail to trip him. I grabbed his ankle, dragging him toward me. 

"Natsu! stop, he's going to kill her!" 

"That's the point," I mumbled. I slammed my fist against his face, hoping to knock him out. I don't want to kill him, but if he doesn't start cooperating, I will have to finish him. 

"What happened to you?! Did anything we did together mean anything to you?! Were you just pretending to be our friend, our FAMILY this whole time? Were any of the friendships you've made real?" I didn't answer him. He doesn't understand. No one understands it has to be this way. Has to be. 

I kept ignoring him until he finally said, "Was the relationship you made with Lucy real? Or were you just using her too?" 

I slammed his face against the ground, "Of course the relationship I made with Lucy was real! All of it was real!" 

"Then why are you doing this?!" He asked. 

"To kill Acnologia." We charged at each other with our magic in our hands. Only to have them block by, 

"Erza?" Gray asked.

"What are you two doing?! Is this fight worth ruining your friendship?!" Erza yelled as the tears flowed down her face. 

Memories of us when we were kids and us growing up together flowed through my mind. How we all met, when we first met Happy, meeting Lucy, going on our mission together. All of it came rushing back into our minds.
