Chapter Twenty-Two: Claimed?

IRENE'S P.O.V:

Wait, what did he just say? "I'm sorry, I don't think I heard you right? Did you just say claim me?" I asked him. He chuckled and it sent shivers down my spine but, in a good way. "Yes, claim you. Have you ever heard of Dragonslayers Irene?" "Yes, I have. I'm guessing that's a type of wizard you are." "Beautiful and smart, I think I'm already falling for you." Heat ran up to my cheeks, I'm pretty sure I'm blushing right now. But I kept my posture, I won't let him have the satisfaction. "I hope you know that I am a married woman." His scowl came back. A dark aura filled the air. In a blink of an eye, he was right in front of me. What is this pull, like feeling? Like I have to be in his presence and I don't know why. "Leave him."

"Why would I leave my husband?!" I have yelled at him. This man is starting to irritate me. "Because you belong to me. It's Dragon mating season. This includes Dragonslayers. I have been looking for my mate for a very long time Irene. This will be my second dragon mating season. My first time I couldn't find her, but this time I did. And that is you, Irene you are my mate."

It's been three hours since that man told me I'm his mate.

FLASHBACK

"You can't actually think I'm you're mate!" He only stared at me, not answering me. "It has to be some kind of mistake!" Still no answer. "Are you even listening to me?! Hello! I am talking to you!" He cut me off by grabbing my waist and kissing me. My eyes were wide, the kiss was like an explosion. Nothing like with my husband. I kissed him back with the same passion he gave me. I could feel him smirking, just when the kiss got a little more intense. He pulled away. I let out a little whimper from being away from his lips.  I know he heard me because he chuckled and smirked at me. His hand was still on my waist. I was in such a daze from that kiss, I didn't realize he was talking to me. "Irene, are you listening?" I looked up at him. "Huh?" "I said does your so-called husband kiss you like that?" I shooked my head no. "Exactly, only I gave you this kind of pleasure because you are my mate." "What's your name?" I asked him. He kissed me on top of my head and leaned against my ear. "My name is Acnologia." Before I could say anything, a booming voice interrupted us, "WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!" My husband came walking in with an angry look on his face. I pulled away from Acnologia which earned a growl from him. "Well, Irene?!" I was about to say something but I was cut off again. "Do not yell at her!" Acnologia yelled. My husband looked at him with disgust. "Who do you think you are, talking to the king of this kingdom and Irene's husband!" "I am Acnologia! King of all dragons! And I am Irene's mate."

FLASHBACK ENDS

After Acnologia said that he left without saying a word to me. I felt disappointed, that he didn't say anything to me. Not even a goodbye. He left me with so many questions. Would I see him again? Will he take me away from my husband? Will we be together? I was on the balcony that's in my bedchambers. I made sure that the guards would not let anyone come in. I needed the time to think. But all I could think about was Acnologia. And that kids we shared. All of my kisses with my husband was, rough and lustful. Nothing like Acnologia's, his were soft, passionate and full of love. Even though it was one kiss, I already know I was falling for him.

This isn't like me, I don't even know him and I'm already falling for him, at least I think I am. Could what he said was true am I really his mate. Is that why I can't stop thinking about him? Why I still crave his lips? The warmth of being in his arms. I can still feel the tingling feeling of the kiss on my lips. What should I do? I might not see him again. My husband would make sure of that. He would probably set up guards at every entrance and exit. And, most likely he will assign guards to follow my every move.

I heard the door slam closed, I already knew it was my husband. "What were you thinking?!" He yelled. I didn't face him. "Look at me when I'm talking to you, Irene!" I turned around and gave him a blank stare. "What do you want?" I asked him. "What I want is my wife to respect our marriage." "Nothing happened!" I yelled. "Oh please, don't give me that crap! I saw you two! He had his arm around your waist!" "That doesn't mean anything! I told him that I was married!" I yelled back. "And yet he had his arms around you! Don't you understand how that looked? It looked like you were cheating on me!" I rolled my eyes at him, "You're being ridiculous. I'm going to take a bath, then go to bed." I walked past him. He didn't say anything. If only he was always like that.

Hey everyone sorry it's been so long since I've updated. Anyway questions! Irene and Acnologia? Yes, I thought they would be good for each other. Oh and the reason why I keep saying Irene's husband is because when I looked up for his name, it didn't say. But if you guys know what his name is I would be really happy if you told me, so I can stop saying 'My husband'. Until then I'll keep saying 'My husband' or 'Your husband' or 'Irene's husband'.
