Portal 'Dimensional' Hopper

Prologue: Welcome to Buddyfight X

I crashed landed in some grass. Holding my head in pain. "Ack..."

"WOAH WOAH WOAH. Wait just a minute." I stopped reading the story. Looking up. "This is not how we start." I hissed. "Hiya. I'm Paige Montgomery Harris, My story? Well, I'm a fourteen year old living in a small lab in Beacontown. I've studied this concept for two years now, believing it was impossible. I tried building a portal, but it would never work. Strange, right?

Well that's not the case. You see, at times, my portal seemed to act a bit weird around me. Its light would flash red, meaning something was wrong. Or worse yet. Someone in a different universe was in trouble. But it never opened. Until one mysterious day. On the day of my birthday.

It opened."

I stared in disbelief. Someone needed my help and I shivered just thinking about it. I slipped my hand through the crack of the portal. Nothing was bad so far. Walking through it.

Out I fell. Into the grass, like I tripped and fell down. No one was around, thankfully. I slowly got up. I looked at my attire. I didn't see my white labcoat, no I saw a yellow shirt, with a white jacket tied around my waist and an orange skirt and white leggings to complete the clothing plus black boots. I was confused. Okay, so the portal had an ability to change appearances. Amazing.. I think anyways. I sat in the grass. Looking at my hands, adjusting my glasses curiously, soon a shadow blocked the sun as I looked up.

"Hey! You okay?" A boy asked. Putting his hand out.

I didn't recognize this voice. Scary enough... I slowly put out my hand and grabbed his. He pulled me right up. His hand felt like bandages... was he in some sort of accident..? Or was those to make them look cool? Because to me, it's concerning...

"Name's Gao Mikado!" The boy exclaimed. Looking at me mysteriously. "Are you from around here? I don't recognize you... and I know everyone here..."

Someone randomly picked me up. "Hey Gao, who's this girl of yours?"

"Hey! Put me down!" I yelped. Starting to squirm around.

"I... well... I just met her... I didn't even... ack. I'm probably the worst. Not asking a girl for their name." Gao mumbled. "Batzz put her down. GENTLY."

Whoever he called Batzz put me down.

"And disguise yourself. You know the Buddyfight-"

"I know, I know. Geez you're pushy." Batzz hissed. Poofing into a smaller version of himself in front of my eyes. He was a dragon. Well a dragon without wings, I should say.

"So. What's your name squirt?" Gao asked.

"Don't call me squirt! I'm fourteen!" I yelped.

"And I'm sixteen. Tough luck kid." Gao chuckled gently.

"Ugh..." I sounded annoyed at this point. Not even aware if my hair color or eyes were different. I didn't exactly have a mirror. But I had my backpack on with a portal remote inside. "Paige... Montgomery... Harris." I sighed gently.

"Well nice to meet you Paige." Gao smiled gently.

"Ooo! Gao's got a girlfriend!" Another boy exclaimed.

"really guys?" Gao sighed.

"Aw! They're so cute together."  A girl giggled and smiled.

I was tired of this. "Okay, to settle this straight. We just met... I've only know Gao for a few minutes."

"Now mentioning that. I never seen you before... did you transfer from out of town?" The boy asked.

"Y-yeah." I answered. "Well I came from another dimension." I mumbled under my breath and surprisingly. I wasn't heard.

"So what's your name blonde?" The boy asked.

Blonde? Was my hair blonde? I bet my eyes stayed brown but my hair changed. I mean I had short hair too. Keep in mind that my hair was originally ginger. "Paige Harris." I smiled gently.

"Baku Omori." The boy said.

"I'm Kuguru Uki." The girl smiled gently.

"I hope we can be friends... I'm actually really shy around new people..." I sighed gently.

"One question. Do you know what Future Card Buddyfight is?" Baku asked.

"I... don't actually..." I answered. It sounded like a card game. I think it was a card game 'Future Card' almost gave it away...

"This is perfect! Not only we've gained a new friend, but we've gained a new kid to teach as well!" Baku grinned cheekily

"Slow down Baku. We don't even know if she's interested in those types of games." Uki hissed.

"Hehe whoops." Baku chuckled weakly.

I smiled gently. "I'm up to trying new things. It'll be fun."

"What kind of world are you most interested in?" Uki asked.

This question seemed random... I don't know why.

"Magic? Dragon?" Uki asked.

Oh! I understand what she means now! The world of the cards is which one they belong to! Looking at Gao's buddy. I'm sure his buddy is part of the Dragon World! "Oh! Magic World." I smiled gently.

"I've never seen a Magic World user." Gao chuckled gently.

"Well consider me the first!" I looked at Gao and chuckled.

"Now you just need a deck and a buddy." Uki said.

"Buddy?" I asked.

"They fight along your side! They also can travel with you if you like." Baku explained.

"Excuse me while I break up your conversation for a brief moment." A boy said.

All four of us looked up.

We were greeted to a boy floating in the air. His boots giving off a green aura of levitation. His hair blue and eyes red.

"Oh hey Tasuku." Gao smiled.

"Who?" I asked confused.

"Tasuku Ryuenji! He's part of the buddy police!" Uki exclaimed.

"I seriously don't know who he is..." I mumbled.

"Well I assume you're Paige Harris." Tasuku looked at me.

"That's right..." I nodded.

"This is for you." Tasuku handed me a deck. Magic World.

"How did you know..." I started.

"Hey. A boy has his secrets." Tasuku smiled gently.

"That's... concerning..." I mumbled.

"He's just messing with you." Gao playfully elbowed me.

I sighed gently. "If you say so."

You think that now I have a deck, I would be able to play Buddyfight. However things only got harder and I'll have to get back to my universe before my time runs out and I'm stuck here!

Author's Notes: I've had this idea for a while now. But I told my friend about this idea and he said I might ruin some fandoms with this series. I mean it's not like my character is going to ruin one of the best ships. She's just a side character, proceeding to help anyone in that universe ^^' New chapter soon!
