"Paige..." Mike looked at me.

I looked up. My eyes red from crying. "Y-yes?" I asked. My voice breaking with every time I said 'yes'.

"You're crying..." Mike said. Putting his hand on my shoulder. "He'll be okay... I promise..."

I cried as I hugged Mike. Tears dripping down my cheeks like rain drops. "I want this to be over... Mike..."

"It'll be okay... Pea." Mike said. Comforting me...

That was the first time I warmed up to my nickname of  'Pea'... Eleven had a nickname too... El... and... I think it fits us well...

I wanna save Will... even if that means me dead...

"It's been... two weeks... since I arrived in Hawkins, Indiana.. I've missed my parents... Mom... especially Josie... my sister and... Ginny... my dear... dear older sister... to think that... I've spent... two weeks... in the 1980s... makes me cry every time... How do I, Paige Montgomery Harris... Wind up in this shit? Sorry for my language... Mom... if you hear this... chances are... I'm lost in the space rift and... I... well... may never get back... This is Paige..." I choked on my name. "Three... signing off..." I said before ending the transmission in tears.

I heard someone walked in... I looked up to see... Mike?

Mike stared down at me. "Are you okay?"

"Just... missing home..." I chuckled awkwardly. "I... don't know if... I will ever get home..." I mumbled gently.

"It'll be okay..." Mike smiled reassuringly.

I smiled gently. "Yes sir..."

Mike grabbed my hand and shook it. Like a greeting or a way to comfort me...

"Thanks..." I said softly. Gripping the tape recorder in my other hand.

"Hey love birds." Lucas hissed. Grabbing Mike's arm and pulling him away from me. "We got work to do!" He exclaimed.

~Change of Scenery: Hawkins Middle's Pool~

Lots of salt was poured into the kiddie pool. I think it was about 1,500 pounds?

Johnathan kept looking at me worriedly.

I felt the water. It was cold... "Dustin?"

Dustin put a thermometer in the pool. "It needs to be warmer... Paige?"

I placed my finger in the water. Starting to warm it up. "Tell me when to stop..."

Dustin was silent for a while before yelping. "That's perfect!"

I pulled my finger out of the water. "It's nice and cozy." I joked a bit. I choked a bit on my words. "I'll be right back..." I said hazily. Running to the bathroom.

I started coughing up blood. "Shit... This is... why I shouldn't spend so long in a universe I'm not from..." I choked and coughed on my words. "But I should stay strong... It's only another night..." I said to myself.
