"I can't lose!" I exclaimed. Staring Gao down. "Gao Mikado. I must return back to my Home-World! I will beat you to return back home!" I hissed. "DRAW! CHARGE AND DRAW!" I stared at Gao. "Ideal Girl, Mary Sue to the right!"
A girl appeared before my eyes. Jumping to the right platform. "Iris? You ready?"
"Why wouldn't I be?!" Iris smiled.
"My dear buddy! Step forward! Take the center position!" I exclaimed. Putting my hand forward for Iris to take the stand.
Iris placed down the flag and flew in on her broom. Hovering in the center spot.
"Paige regains a life point!" Tasuku announced as I was brought up back to 9 life points.
"Mary Sue, Head in!" I exclaimed.
I could hear Mary Sue let out a giggle or two as she flew in and attacked Gao. Bringing him down to 7 life points.
"Hmph. Clever!" Gao chuckled gently.
I smirked softly.
"You're quick. I like that about you... but it's not over yet!" Gao chuckled.
"Just wait! I'm not done yet!" I would chuckle. "Iris? Do me a favor..."
"Say no more!" Iris giggled as she flew in on her broom. Casting a spell and attacking Gao, hitting him down to 5 life points.
From the stands. I could tell Uki and Baku were impressed with me.
"She did five damage on the first turn!" Uki smiled.
"Impressive..." Gao smirked. "Very impressive indeed..."
I smirked. While I was at 9 Life Points. Gao only had 5 Life Points.
"Greetings Cardfighters." A voice entered the stadium. "It appears there's a criminal in your world."
I looked up at the intercoms. Was the voice talking about me?
"Paige Montgomery Harris. Step forward. You are not from this world..." the figure said as they materialized from a portal. "You will return to your world and be placed under portal arrest."
I glared. "Who said I was trespassing?!" I hissed. "Iris! Stop them!"
Iris glared as she tried and slash the figure but they disappeared.
The fight was stopped and the audience was silent.
"Paige...? You're not... from this world?" Gao asked.
"Gao Mikado. I can explain clearly and efficiently if you just let me." I said. Clearly worried for out friendship after what happened just in the past few hours.
Gao's eyes started watering. "YOU LIED!"
"I never did!" I exclaimed. "Gao, you are one of my best friends. I would never lie to you!"
"SHUT UP!" Gao cried. "I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS! YOU LIED ABOUT EVERYTHING! OUR FRIENDSHIP, OUR BOND..."
"GAO MIKADO. SHUT YOUR MOUTH FOR ONE SECOND!" I cried. Before taking a deep breath and sighing.
"I did it to protect you. I did it to protect everyone. This world... it's amazing... I wish to live here longer... but I can't..." I lifted up my remote. The light was blinking yellow. "I have to get home. The portal brought me here for a reason. That reason was to be a friend to you." I smiled.
"SO YOU DID LIE!" Gao hissed.
"Gao, I never did that..." I would whimpered. Looking up at the stands. "Uki... Baku..."
Uki and Baku remained silent. They both seemed distrusted and also confused.
"Gao, leave her alone." Baku said as he jumped down into the stadium. Uki followed.
"Gao... listen to Baku. What Paige did, wasn't wrong..." Uki sighed.
"She lied to our face Uki! Don't you understand that?!" Gao growled.
"Gao please. Listen to me! Be the first to listen to me... no one ever listens to me." I mumbled. "My older sister never listened to me." I added.
Gao felt bad and backed up. "I didn't mean it. Paige. I'm sorry."
I was on the verge of tears. "Finally. Someone listens to me..." I said. Crying my eyes out.
"Paige, don't cry. Look, I'm sorry!" Gao cried.
Baku and Uki pulled me into a hug. I cried as I hugged the two.
Gao couldn't bare to hug me so he stayed away from the hug for now.
I looked at Gao and smiled. "Hey... come here and join into the hug."
Gao rubbed his arm before jumping in and hugging Baku and Uki.
I smiled gently. "That's better..."
"You're really brave.. I like that about you... but you should've told us!" Gao yelped.
I whimpered and turned away. "It was supposed to be a secret... if I told you... I thought I would be a freak..."
Gao bursted out laughing. "Why would we think that?! Uki is a nerd regardless!"
Uki hit Gao in the head with a book. "Shut up Gao!"
I bursted out laughing. "Someone's seems rude."
Uki was a bit embarrassed. "H-How ridiculous of me." She smiled awkwardly.
Baku smirked as he snickered. "I never expected that word to come out of your mouth." He chuckled. Referring to Gao.
Gao yelped. "What's that supposed to mean?!" He exclaimed.
"It means you have low vocabulary!" Uki hissed.
I quietly laughed at this. This group of friends was the best group of friends I ever met. They were so tolerable with each other which I found loving and amazing. I still could horribly hear the words of that figure who came through the portal. Her words echo in my head.
"You will return to your world and be placed under portal arrest."
I shiver when I hear her voice. She sounded so angry with me. I never even seen this girl before...
why did she target me of all people? I was never trespassing to begin with!
I never had a mom so I couldn't ask if she's seen this girl at all. I didn't even see her face which wouldn't help me explain what I saw.
I'm still terrified, whoever this was... why she was targeting me... if she even was related to me. These questions were all so many possibilities. I could be a criminal... I could be innocent.
Whoever I was... or rather... whoever I am...
That's not what this mysterious figure sees...
I went back to the park. I threw down the remote and it opened up a portal. I looked at the trio smiling.
"It's a shame you have to go... you still owe me a buddyfight!" Gao snickered and grinned with anticipation.
"It'll just have to wait mister Mikado." I smirked.
"You'll be joining us again soon... right?" Uki asked.
"It's just a matter of time before I do..." I grinned.
"Well then... stay safe. Paige Harris." Baku crossed his arms. Scoffing for a second before smiling. "Keep on buddyfighting."
"Will do Baku..." I smiled gently. Giving a three one final hug before I went through the portal.
Home. At. Last...
Author's Notes: Finally, this chapter has been completed. The Buddyfight Saga has come to an end and a new fandom will be written. The question is... How STRANGER can it get?
