The weekend had been and gone and Jeno's mother had been right, he had barley seen Renjun. The only time they ever came in contact was on an evening when they were called down for dinner, but even then they didn't speak.
He didn't see much of him at breakfast either since Renjun seemed to be a bit more of an early bird in comparison to Jeno.

But today was the first day back at school to Jeno's dismay. He stands in the kitchen, downing a cup of coffee and sending a quick text to Mark telling him that he was setting off soon.
"Are you sure you can't give Renjun a ride to school" his mother asks for the tenth time that morning.

"I've told you, I have no room for him, I have to pick, Mark, Jaemin, Donghyuck and Jisung. Unless he wants to ride in the trunk no I can't give him a ride" he explains, placing his mug down in the sink before placing a kiss to his mother's head. "Bye, I'll see you later tonight, I'm going to Jaemin's after school so I'll be in late"

His mother only nods, waving to her son as he left. Once Jeno had stepped out of the house his eyes land on Renjun. "What is that?" He asks pointing towards the piece of scrap metal that Renjun was messing around with. The blonde looked a little shocked since it was the first time Jeno had spoken to him since the spider incident.

"It's a bike" he says it as if it's the most obvious thing in the whole world.
There was no way that bike would get him to school. It was a two mile journey and that bike looked like it would fall to pieces even if he rode it to the end of the street.

Jeno's phone dings in his hand and his eyes move to look at the message.

Marku (•́ ₃ •̀):
Don't bother coming.
Hungover.

Jeno sighs before stuffing his phone into his pocket. He couldn't believe he was doing this.
"Get in" he says, shocking Renjun once again.

"What?" The blonde asks, furrowing his brows slightly in confusion.

"I said get in. I'll give you a ride to school" he repeats, opening the driver side door of his car and hopping in. "Quickly before I change my mind"

Renjun takes a look at his old and broken bike before leaning it against the wall and getting into the car. "Thank you" he says quietly, pulling the seatbelt around himself.

"You got lucky. Don't expect this every day"

Jeno pulls up outside of Jaemin's house and watches as his best friend came running out of the house and hopped into the backseat. "Heya- oh who's this" Jaemin smiles, his eyes landing on the blonde sat in the front.

"This is Renjun, the guy my mum is renting the guest room to" Jeno says, starting the engine and driving off towards Donghyuck's house.

"He's cute" Jaemin says and Jeno scoffs at the comment. "I'm Jaemin, nice to meet you Renjun"
Jaemin had always been overly friendly towards new people so it was no surprise to Jeno when he took an immediate liking to Renjun.
"So you go to our school? What are you studying?" The pink haired male asks, leaning into the front slightly.

"Astronomy and physics" Renjun says and even Jeno was a little shocked at that.

"Damn, you must be smart" Jaemin points out to which the blonde only shrugs.

They carry on driving to school, Jaemin took on the roll of introducing Renjun to Donghyuck and Jisung since he could tell Jeno really wasn't too keen on the Chinese boy.
Once thy had arrived at the school they all get out and straight away Jaemin offers to take Renjun to pick up his schedule from the main office. "He can do it himself you know, he's not a child" Jeno mutters but Jaemin only slaps his arm.

"Don't be rude. It's a new school, in a new country! You'd be nervous too" he scolds, draping an arm around Renjun's shoulders "come on, ignore him he's a brat".
Renjun glances over at Jeno before being dragged away by Jaemin.

Jeno rolls his eyes and scoffs slightly "his Korean seems fine to me" he mutters, slamming his car door closed and locking it.

"I'm guessing you don't like him" Donghyuck laughs, walking alongside Jeno as he helped Jisung out with his tangled backpack strap.

Jeno shrugs, crossing his arms over his chest and entering the large building. "It's not that, his presence just irritates me"
The fact that Renjun was living in his house and was now stealing his friends made Jeno's blood boil.

"He barely said a word the whole way here, I doubt you even know he's there" Jisung chimes in, finally tugging his backpack on and thanking Hyuck for helping him out.

"I don't think you understand" Jeno stops walking, facing his two friends "having him in the house means I can't do things I use to. Like using the guest room for extra storage, meaning my room is more cluttered than usual. And I can't wander around the house naked anymore when my mums at work because he's always fucking there!" He flays his arms around as he spoke.

"Oh god, if you walk around with nothing on you might scare the poor kid away" Donghyuck laughs and Jisung joins in, leaning against the elder for support in his giggly state.

"Don't tempt me" Jeno mutters, jumping slightly when hearing the bell ring. "I gotta go, I'll see you idiots later" he gives them a small wave before running off up the staircase and towards his first class. He spots Jaemin on the opposite end of the corridor and the pink haired boy skips towards him.

"I took Renjun to his class and said I'd meet him at lunch" Jaemin says as they both enter their classroom and take their seats, taking out their needed equipment "Jeno he's so cute! How can you not like him?" He had a whiny tone to his voice which made Jeno groan slightly.

"Seriously Jaemin? You're supposed to be my best friend. We're supposed to dislike the same people" Jeno slumps in his seat and pouts a little, cringing when Jaemin reaches over to pinch his cheeks.

"Aw Jeno, you're just bitter because you're mum is taking care of someone other than you" he laughs, avoiding a slap on his arm "you're such a mamas boy".

"Shut up I am not. She's the one that's always on my case now my dads gone" he defends, watching as Jaemin opens up his notebook and writes a title on his page.

"Sure it is".
