Chapter 12

"Punyeta ka Kugimiya!" Napasigaw nalang ako sa inis. Ilang minuto ko nang sinubukang tumayo mula sa pagkakabagsak pero mas lalo lang sumasakit ang paa ko. It was starting to swell again. Shit! Gustong kong tumayo but even my arms were weak. I wanted to put a cold compress so badly. Pero paano nga, para akong baldado neto?!

I was so helpless so I started crying. I badly wanted to call mom but it was 10 o'clock in the evening she was probably sleeping. I thought of kuya, but knowing him he would just tell me to ask Kugimiya for help. Now I only have two persons to call.

"Hello"

Sofia: Hello? Natutulog yung tao e'

I could hear the annoyance in her voice. She got disturbed obviously.

"Help me sof.."

My voice was shaking. Then suddenly I heard some rattle noises from her line.

Sofia: Anong nangyari? Nasaan ka ba? Are you okay?

"Nasa unit ako, hindi ako makalakad"

Sofia: Ha? Ano? Bakit? Hindi ko maintindihan? May masama bang nangyari sayo?

She was panicking.

"Please calm down sof. I'm fine.. I mean, I'm not fine. Masakit ang paa ko kaya hindi ako makalakad. I need to go to the hospital."

Kainis kung sinunod ko nalang sana si prof Ignacio hindi na ako makakaistorbo pa nang iba. Fuck! There was only one person to be blamed with. That jerk!

Sofia: Ano? Nililito mo ako Anny. Sabihin mo muna kung ano ang nangyari.

"Importante pa ba yon? Kung puntahan mo nalang kaya ako dito sa unit."

Sofia: Prank ba to?

Napasabunot nalang ako sa buhok ko, walang kwenta naman itong hingan ng tulong.

"May panahon pa ba akong magprank sa sitwasyong to?"

Sofia: My bad, I'll be in a bit.

The call ended right away.

Nagsimula na namang tumulo ang mga luha ko, napaisip kung ilang minuto ko pa hihintayin si Sofia. It would take her 15-20 minutes to drive to my place. Take note, kapag walang traffic pa yon. God!

Kasalanan talaga ito ni Kugimiya. Ilang beses ko na ba itong sinasabi sa sarili ko? Siya ang puno't dulo nang lahat eh. Kung hindi pa sana siya sumulpot hindi to mangyayari sa akin. Puro problema nalang talaga ang binibigay niya sa akin. To think, ilang weeks siyang hindi nagparamdam?! Sumusobra na talaga ang siraulong yon!

I stopped when I heard a series of door bells outside my unit. A familiar voice was calling my name and I could barely hear it. But for sure it was not Sofia. Then it struck me! Napairap ako dahil sa inis.  Speaking of the devil!

He was outside waiting. I tried to move so I could open the door but my foot went numb. I badly wanted to cry for help from him but my pride won't like it. Fuck! Matatagalan pa talaga iyong si Sofia. Jusko naman bakit ba pinaparusahan ako ng ganito, nagkasala ba ako noon? I had so many things going in my mind already. First, Prof Ignacio and Kugimiya's meet up was not in a good timing. Shutang ina talaga, the "baby" revelation was the worst one. Plus, I still had some reports to do for my classes. Paano ako papasok sa trabaho bukas?
