Nothing happened. As soon as I shut my eyes everything I was felling stopped. There was no fear, no panic, nothing...there was nothing. I opened my eyes to find myself in a forest.
"Where am I?"
"You are in a place of temporary suffering and or misery."
"What?" I spun around to find a small black-haired child before me.
"I said, that you are in a place of temporary suffering and or misery. It's your choice on how you see it."
"Sorry, who are you and where am I?"
"It is quite alright. My name is Aeonian and you are currently residing in my forest of dreams."
"Okay?"
"You must have other questions. Do I frighten you in this state or perhaps you are you afraid of something else? Please, ma'ma I wish to help you the best I can. Will you tell me?"
This kid is fucking suspicious as shit. I don't know where I am but this is better than where I was. I took a closer look at the child. I believe it was a she, it sounded feminine. Its black hair was short and straight with bangs. This kid was crazy skinny and the white dress she was wearing wasn't helping. It practically blended into her skin, she didn't look healthy at all. What really creeped me out was her blacked-out eyes, something about not knowing where someone was looking just didn't feel right.
"Hello, Miss? Are you alright? Do I need to get the Doctor?"
"Doctor? Like Doctor Who? Oh my god is the Tardis around here!?"
"The Doctor?" She looked merely confused but snapped out of it. "I will fetch him right now, don't move." She spun around and disappeared into the woods.
"What! Don't leave me..." She was already gone. "Okay...I think I'm missing the endless void right about now."
I waited in the forest for a while as the fog grew thicker. A sound of moaning came from my left, I didn't want to leave this spot in case the girl, Aeonian, came back. I heard the crashing of leaves, someone was approaching my clearing. The crunching of leaves quickened, I had to run, I had to get out of there. I turned to take off in the other direction when the voice came piercing through my thoughts.
"Stop."
"Over here Doctor, come on! She may have already taken off by now. You're so slow!"
I thought it was a little weird how Aeonian sounded so similar to the voice but before I could think about it too much Aeonian jumped through the woods into the clearing dragging an older man behind her in vintage clothing. She held on tight to his sleeve as his trench coat caught on the outstretched twigs. His hair was salted with so much white that you could barely tell that it used to black. Large glasses hanged from the edge of his nose as he stumbled forward. The large medical bag he was carrying made him learn from the weight. This doesn't look like any doctor who I've ever seen, maybe it was another time lord?
"Calm down Aeonian. There is nothing to fuss about." The voice that came from that man was smoothed and welcoming like a pot of coffee.
"Look, Doctor, look!" Aeonian jumped up and down happily. "She heard me! She heard me!"
"Aeonian you know it's dangerous to play with the minds of humans."
"But she hasn't broken. I've been with her all these years and she has fought back. This one is strong. I can feel it!" The Doctor huffed as he knelt down and started rummaging through his bag.
"Yes, and when have your "feelings" ever been wrong?" Aeonian's face flashed with anger.
"Just help the girl." The Doctor nodded his head.
