The day starts off simple.
He wakes up at 5am, 2 hours earlier than the rest, as he gets ready for the day. Honestly, the morning came too soon- It feels as if he'd only blinked when the alarm started beeping.
Of course, he didn't get a lot of sleep. He'd only managed to productively stare at the ceiling as he contemplated his entire being for hours before he drifted off at 3.18am. Or was it 3.32? He can't remember the last digits he'd seen last night- or more appropriately- this morning, but he couldn't care less. His sense of time last night was so distorted; he didn't exactly bother with the clock; that he wouldn't be surprised if he had fallen asleep at 4:45 or something.
Happened before, no biggie.
Seokjin sets off to work in their shared kitchen, that really only he used unless the others wanted to pour some cereal or something. It's a no-go zone for Namjoon, though. With his unspeakably atrocious 'skills' (is skills a stretch?) with the knife and any other thing related to cooking, and the fact that he broke 2 plates when grabbing a mug, the group came to a collective decision that it'd be best, for all seven's sake and safety, that Namjoon avoids the kitchen as much as possible.
A smile graces his lips as he recalled that day and he preps the pan. His mind lingers on the fondness of the time they had together. Now that their comeback is close, Jin can't help but feel that the group doesn't have that much leisure time together anymore. Everyone's busy with practice, song writing, or whatever prep.
And as much as he wishes they'd spend more time as a 'family' again, he understands that this is what he'd signed up for when he signed that contract all those years ago.
And that's also why he's determined not to let how busy they are and how tired he is affect his morning routine. He refuses to comprimise on a homemade breakfast. That's the least he could do. The members deserve at least that.
Besides, most of the time, it's the only meal they have.
And the only time they spend together without the stress these days.
He'll just have to make do with this.
"Thank you, hyung!"
Today, he takes a picture of the members' smiles at the breakfast table.
