Chapter 7

We lined up, Valeria was standing next to me and had scared a face, so I asked her.

"Are you ok, Val? What is it?"

"It is because of those soldiers, there is no more than sixty of us and I see over a hundred soldiers around us. It reminds me an old memory from the factory where my parents are working, they told me that once units of soldiers came there and took ten workers, then said that those workers are accused of stealing of biochemical materials and they were executed without any trail, it was so cruel and terrible. Since then I feel frightened when I see a lot of soldiers in one place, and I don't trust them at all."

"I didn't know that Valeria, but do not be scared now because I am here and those soldiers will be gone soon."

"I know, can you hold my hand Antistia? I would feel better."

"Of course I can Val."

You may think that Valeria was behaving like a little girl due to her fear of everything but that is not true. She is scared because all of this is new for her, since her childhood she knew only her parents, did not have any friends, her life was difficult and couldn't even imagine that she would ever be able to get out of Forge City. And now she is an adult, she is about to leave Forge City and she is having a first true friend.

When she grabbed my hand, I felt different, it was in that how she was holding the hand, it was not a strong holding which I was expecting, it was very gentle and I liked it, I liked her holding my hand. When I looked at her, I saw her beautiful smile, her beautiful blue eyes, short blonde hair and her slim body under the white dress. When I came out from my little trance, she looked at me and started to giggle, then swiped her hand and with her left hand grabbed me around my waist, and with a right hand grabbed me again, and it this position we were walking. I liked it, and she liked it too and the only thing which came to my mind, was thought about how much Valeria was beautiful.

It was very strange, something which I haven't felt ever before.

I think that I had a feelings for her but did she was having the same feeling for me too or if she saw this just as an act of deep friendship?
