We were talking for some time.
We learned that Lania and her two friends were surviving only thanks to stealing of food and medical supplies, - I would say, that they were very lucky not being caught – and thanks to their care for each other. I was really amazed by that, to be honest.
Julius was just telling us how is he imagining life in The Citadel of Faith when Zara and Vinia came to the canteen. At first, they didn't notice us, they just ignored us, but that changed in a moment.
They both rushed to our table and started to shout at Lania.
„What the fuck is this supposed to mean Lania?! You have now new friends, don't you? You ungrateful piece of shit." Started Vinia.
„How dare you to talk with them? You want to leave us or what? After all, we have been through?" Continued Zara.
Lania was just sitting there, telling nothing, staring at them.
„Talk to you bitch ..." Continued Vinia but she didn't have time to finish what she wanted because Julius entered their dialogue, he was sick of their insulting of Lania.
He started to shout at them.
„That is enough you two. From what she told me, to us, you are not treating her well. For you, she is just a sidekick, not your friend. She is sick of you and she will no longer want to be with you. SO, leave her alone."
„How dare you to speak with us like that? You don't know nothing about us." Confronted him Vinia
„Shut up Vinia, I am sick of you, both of you. Find someone else to do you a sidekick. Now please go away and leave me alone." Said Lania to them, who was until now just looking at them.¨
When they heard her, they stopped and were just staring at her. They didn't say anything more, they just took some water and then went to an exit. Before they left, they shouted, „You will pay for leaving us Lania."
„Whatever you say." Shouted Lania back but they were already gone.
"Zara and Vinia are gone but Lania starts to regret her decision"
"What have I done? Now I have no-one to be here with me. Now they will be angry, what if they will do something to me?" Said Lania with tears in her eyes.
"NO, they won't do anything to you. If they will try, I will show them that they have done a really bad decision." Assured her Julius and grabbed her hand.
She looked at her hand, then at him and said, "Thank you for that Julius, I appreciate it."
I was looking at the both of them and the first thing which came to my mind was that maybe Julius likes Lania and want to take advantage of a current situation, I would understand if he would want to do that because Lania was very pretty.
"Who is your patron Lania?" Asked Valeria.
Honestly, I am not sure but I would say that it is Tyche, goddess of fate. I believe into fate and I am letting her, The goddess, to lead me through my life. I would say that my fate was to be here with you but who knows what fate lays upon us. Said Lania and I really liked the way how she said it, because when she was saying it, her mood became better, at least a little bit.
"Do you want something to drink girls?" Asked Julius.
"No thank you, I will go on restroom and into my room." Answered Lania.
"Lania goes away"
She left and we didn't know what to do. We were just sitting at the table, doing nothing.
