Unfortunately, I wasn't sleeping for a very long time. That was because after couple of hours, I was woken up by someone sitting in my side of bed. I felt the pressure on the bed, and as I was waking up  I heard the person saying "Antistia, wake up."

I opened my eyes, with my head turned to Valeria, but she was sleeping, she wasn't the one saying the words. I slowly turned my hand to the other side, on which I felt the pressure on the bed. I turned slowly  scared to the bone, in my mind I prayed for it to be just a dream. What I saw was a woman; woman with red hair, but with not an usual red, rather the one which was like a flames themselves. The woman was sitting next to me, looking at me, staring even.

"Don't hurt me, please," I silently said to her.

"Hurt? You? I couldn't and wouldn't do that. I assure you," she said.

"Who are you?" I asked, yet I knew exactly who she was. It was Astrid Thon,  my mother.

On her face a smile appeared, a small innocent smile. She looked at me, raised her hand and touched my cheek. I felt her touch, I felt her cold hand on my face and it was as if my heart stopped.

"I can't believe that I see you finally. When I saw you last time, you were.. you were so little. I could barely hold you in my hands..." The woman said.

"Mother?!" I said with a happy yet scared face, tears were falling down from my face, "Is it really you?"

"Yes my child, it is me. I am here," she woman said and began to cry too.

"This is a dream isn't it? I am dreaming again, am I not?" I asked.

"Keep looking at my hand alright?" She, Astrid Thon, my mother, said.

I was looking at her other hand, which was on a bed, she moved to my own hand and touched it and held it. I felt the pressure on my hand, so I pressed her hand too.

"Did you feel it?" I asked her.

"Yes I did. Did you feel my hand?" She asked me.

"Yes I did, mom, I did," I answer. At that point I was sure that it wasn't a dream. It was real, I didn't know how but it was.

"Will you come outside with me? I want to talk
to you," mother asked.

"Yes, I will come with you mom," I answered. I turned at sleeping Valeria kissed her on a cheek and said,"Don't worry, I will be back soon"

I stood up from my bed, took a shoes on and followed my mother outside. We went slowly, quietly, we didn't want wake anyone. I was just staring at her, how beautiful she was, how she looked. Yet, I saw still uncertain if I was really seeing her thanks to the power of the gods or if I was just about to be taken from the dream any second. Nevertheless, I followed her downstairs.  I had so many questions on which I wanted to know the answer.

As we were downstairs, Astrid, mother, went straight to the exit. She was about to leave though the main door, when she realised that something wasn't alright. She turned at me, I was standing on a last stair, thinking.

"What is it, what are you thinking about?" She asked.

"I am just not sure if I want to go," I said,"I am afraid if I go outside this door, I will be alone on the other side because you will disappear or I will wake up in my bed again. I don't want to risk it, mom," I answer quietly.

"I see," she said,"But look at me now and trust me when I say that none of it will happen, if you cross the doorway with me."

It took me a moment to think it though, but I agreed. I opened the door and went outside, she went right after me. As soon as we both stood outside the house, I turned my hand back, to see if she really was there; to my surprise, she was standing next to me.
