Chapter 10

Where am i?

Im looking around and all i am in is a solid white room, there is nothing.

There's no doors, no windows, toilet, gutters.

There is absolutely nothing.

I scream but i hear nothing.

Where am i?

I blink and suddenly theres a tray.

On it is a single... knife.

I won't do it.
...

I sat their for hours and eventually.

I caved.

I picked up the knife and looked at it. I tested it.

It was definitely sharp.
I sliced my wrist, yet there was no blood.

I put the knife down when a thought came across my mind.

Your Son!
Shizuo!
Can you really leave them behind?!

No!
I wont!!!
...
I sat their and after a while i couldn't think.
I grabbed the knife in one movement and stabbed myself between eyes.

I was fast enough so i wouldn't feel regret.

Shizuo POV

When we got home i reluctantly changed her clothes so she was in something dry.
When it was done i was leaving but she began shaking.
Rin ran in and petted her hair.
"What's happening!"
"Nightmare. She's probably going to wake up screaming and check if she's alive."
"What do you mean?"
"To escape, she commits suicide."

I froze.
Why would she? She knows we are here. We could be waiting...

She jolted up and checked her wrist and her forehead before hugging her son and rocking.

Your POV

I jolted up and the first thing was checked my injuries.
They didn't exist.

I saw my son and pulled him into a tight hug.
I began rocking and muttering.
"I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Mummy wont leave... I'm sorry."
"Its alright mummy. It was only a nightmare."
He kept petting my head but i wasn't calming down. Eventually Shizuo hugged us both.
"I will protect you. No matter what. So don't die. I would be broken."

For once, i believed someone would protect me. And now, i had someone who genuinely cared about my welfare. My life.

I know my son does, but he's my son.
There is someone other than family and finally, i feel safe and reassured.
