It's that time! Mating Season!

Chapter 15

[By the way I'm going to use Midnight, Cobra, Angel, Racer and Hoteye instead of their real names, because it's a lot simpler and easier to keep track of since when they go undercover they are using those names,  for the sake of my mental stability we will use those names always. And now for some Midco!!! Enjoy!]

Cobra's POV: Just as mating season starts:

I walked down the dirt path away from the camp we'd set up for the next few nights. We were currently after a small dark guild that claimed they could destroy all of Fiore's top guild at once. I sneer at the thought. These people are weaker than anyone we've ever faced. We've already took out several of their members and it was pretty easy if I do say so myself.

"Cobra!" A voice exclaims from behind me, I turn to Jellal.

"Hey, what do ya need?" I ask, placing my hands in my pockets.

"It's Midnight, he's missing." He replies and my eyes widen. Wait why am I so worried? He can handle himself just fine.

"Don't worry, he can handle himself, I'm sure he's fine." I begin walking next to him as we head back.

"Hey guys, did you tell him?" Angel asks as we approach.

"That Midnight is missing, yes, he told me." I reply, even though she was talking to Jellal. She nods and I hear a thought.

"I wonder if he knows?"  Know what?

"What do you mean?" I ask. She mumbles something under her breath even though she knows I would catch.

"Follow me." She says and begins dragging me to the tent she is sharing with Meredy. Meredy is inside reading some papers. She notices our presences and looks up.

"Oh good, you're here. Come sit." She pats the seat next to her. I take a seat and wait for her to begin speaking once more.

"Okay, so just today we received a letter from Fairy Tail about something very, very important to you Slayers. It's called Slayer Mating Season. Well here you can read about it." She hands me the papers and I begin flipping through them.

"They said that there is a book and these are all the crucial points from it. They also said if you need anything that all the slayers are currently in Arian Resort. Which is a little bit out of our way but nonetheless they are there." She finishes and gives me time to read over all the notes.

Once I am finished, I can feel the heat rising in my face. That was some very explicit stuff. Meredy laughs lightly and begins a new topic.

"Anywho, Cobra, do you know who your mate is?" She asks and my head snaps up. "O-of course not!" She chuckles.

"Well, maybe, I have an idea but I'm probably wrong."

Midnight's POV:

I stare at the darkening sky as I begin to feel drowsy. I ran off earlier, due to the need to be alone for awhile. Not I'm exhausted.

I stand to head back before I fall asleep only to see a group of people surround me. Dark guild members.

I chuckle lowly. These people really think they can beat me! I begin fighting only to notice that my magic power is very weak. Weird. I haven't been in a battle in several days, I don't understand why my magic power is so depleted, and why I am so weak.

"Midnight!" I turn and see Cobra running my way. He reaches me and takes out all of the mages. He sighs in relief and turns my way.

"Hey, why didn't you take them out?"

I look away, a bit ashamed. "I don't know, I just couldn't, my magic it's so depleted and weaker." I look up and meet his gaze.

"Oh my god, I was right." He whispers.

"Right about what?" I ask.

"Come with me, Meredy will help explain." I nod and follow him back to our campsite.

Lucy's POV:

Loke and I sat in our room, he was currently reading my novel over my shoulder as I proof read what I'd finished on the train. "Hey Lucy?"

"Yes?"

"Why was I given and envelope before we came in the room?" He asks.

"Mira wants you to go over what's in it, but no one else is aloud to see what's inside until she says so." I explain and he nods.

"Well I suppose I'd better go through it." I nod and he walks over to his bed, which probably won't be used often. He opens it and begins going through the contents.

I see his face go red and I smirk. Who knew Loke the playboy could get flustered.

Midnight's POV:

I take off running into the forest and don't stop as I hear Cobra's voice behind me. I need to clear my head. This is all to crazy. Mates? Mating Season? What the hell does all of that mean?!

I stop and catch my breath at the edge of a town that we were near. I avoided it but sat down in the trees next to it. I layed my head back against the tree and took in slow steady breaths.

Mating Season huh, and I'm his mate. No. That's not true. He has Kinana anyway. He can just go to Fairy Tail and be with her instead. I'm sure that's what he wants.

"No it's not." The voice comes from my right and I instantly recognize it. "Cobra."

"No, you see, I don't choose my mate, fate does, and it chose you."

"Well how do you know that's true?" He begins giving me all kinds of different reasons and the more he says the more I begin to believe him.

"So you're telling me all that stuff in those notes, we... do?" I ask. He nods. "Yep, when you're ready of course."

"Well... what if... what if I'm never ready to do all of those things they listed in the notes? What if I don't want to... What if..."
