Chapter 6

Rogue's POV:

I placed my hand on the back of my head and felt something wet. I pull my hand back and see blood. Uh oh.

Sting's eyes widen and he growls louder. This time when he pulls against the chains, they snap and he rams his body against the cell door and it comes completely off the hinges. I gasp as he barrels past towards Erza, she requips into her armor and summons a lot of swords.

She launches them at him but they bounce off him harmlessly. The fight seems to last forever until Sting gets the upper hand.

Now:

Freed's POV:

We heard fighting outside in the hall and I went to look. Down the hall was Erza and Sting fighting. As the fight went on Sting got the upper hand as she grew tired. I saw Rogue sitting on the ground nearby holding the back of his head as blood dripped on the ground.

My eyes widen as Sting takes down Erza, she's still alive but on the ground. Sting runs to Rogue and picks him up off the ground. Rogue cries out in pain as the sudden rush of air runs through his open wound.

Sting runs out of my sight and up the stairs. "Freed what's wrong, where'd you go?" Laxus calls and I slip back into his cell. I begin explaining what I witnessed in the hall.

Natsu's POV:

"What happened?" I ask and gramps looks down.

"We honestly can't answer that fully. All we know is that Gray is gone and that someone..... s-someone." He begins to tear up and Mira rubs his back.

"Some one what?" I ask and Mira raises and eyebrow. "Natsu, we don't know who, whether it be Gray or someone else, but someone obviously... assaulted you in your sleep, I mean look at yourself, you saw the bruises. Obviously they are human." She says sadly.

"I realize that but, I-I know it wasn't him, he would never do that to me." I whimper out and pull the cover up to my face, covering my wrecked body.

"Natsu we're so sorry, we couldn't do anything to help you. Wendy tried to heal the bruises when we brought you in here but they didn't heal. We have no idea why though." Lucy says and I nod.

"I'll be fine, but I need him, he's the only one who can protect me. I've obviously gotten a huge downgrade in magic power, I don't think I'm strong enough to protect myself for the rest of the season. I know it's only a month but that's a long time, especially without your mate." I begin to cry and suddenly the door opens revealing Lisanna.

"Hey, I just got back from my job and I was wondering if I could talk to Natsu alone." She says with a smile. They nod and leave the room with a small smile directed my way. I keep my upper body covered by the blanket as she sits on the chair next to my bed.

"Hey, so I heard about mating season!" She says excitedly. I glance up at her and frown. "So who'd you pick, it was obviously me... right?" She questions with a slightly peppy voice. I look down at the bed. "N-no." I whisper so quietly that I thought not even Cobra would hear.

"What was that?" She asks, "Come on tell me, don't be embarrassed just because I'm the one." She laughs out. My stomach churns as she tries to flirt with me. I shake my head.

"N-no, you're not my mate, I'm sorry but... well embarrassingly enough I was a submissive and another slayer had to choose me." I reply and her smile becomes an angry frown. "What?! That means you'd have to be gay!" She says, "Cause the only dominant female slayer is way to young!"

"How'd you know about Chelia but not me?' I ask and she shrugs. "Not important. but what is important is that you should be a dominant, because one, you are way to powerful for that and two, you aren't gay! Right?!" She exclaims once more and I have to cover my ears.

This action makes the blanket fall from my shoulders and reveal my bruised torso and neck. She gasps and asks, "Where the hell did those come from?"

"I-I don't know." I cry and her glare becomes even more terrifying." I feel vulnerable and tear up. She doesn't notice this. "Well, you obviously have to know if someone bruised you, so who did it, and also you didn't answer me!" She yells.

"I really don't k-know where they came from!" I cry out and cover my face with my hands. "A-and to answer you're question, yes I am g-gay, I always have been!" I exclaim and the tears slide down my face as she yells at me even more.

By the time she's done yelling I'm full out sobbing and Lucy, Mira and gramps have come in. Mira and Lucy drag her out and gramps sits next to me.

"I'm so sorry Natsu, I would've stayed in here if I'd known she was going to do that." He says and I shake my head. "That's not it. I-I can't handle being way from him this long. It hurts, physically, mentally and emotionally." He nods and pats my back.

"We'll find him, don't worry my child." I wipe my tears and nod. He leaves the room long enough for me to change and then sends Lucy in to help me up. All I do is throw on a shirt and my scarf, given my pants were still on. When I went to stand Lucy helped me too my feet given I was hurting all over. I felt pain course through my legs and thought it was quite suspicious.

Lucy and I walked into the main room of the guild and I sat at the bar where Mira stood talking to Lisanna. Lisanna rolled her eyes every once in a while, but when Mira said "Gray." Her eyes widened and she looked over with a sad look and mouthed, "I'm so sorry. I didn't know." I nod and smile, as to say, 'It's ok.'

I can't believe he did that to Natsu, right in front of me...
