It was January 2; Marie woke up at around 7:00 am, like any other day. She eat Breakfast - Bread and Butter - she took a nice warm shower, got dressed; she wore her hair half up and half down, she wore gold, white, and blue circle earrings, a plaid sweater, a black shirt, a pair of gray skinny jeans, and cream boots.

All of her friends left to go shopping and do other things. After lunch, she was all alone, reading one of her favourite books, 'Anne of Green Gables' and was watching the news. "Oh, how I wish a boyfriend like Gilbert Blythe; kind, sweet, smart, and sensitive," Marie awed to herself.

She lifted her head in realization, "Did I just describe, Scott?" Marie asked herself, thinking, "I couldn't have." She thought to herself.

"He is all those things," Marie concluded, "Even more." Marie whispered. Before she could argue with herself, there was a knock at the door, "Darn, I have to get up." Marie said while getting up from the couch.

She got up from the couch to see who it was. She looked through the little hole in the door and saw that is was Matthew standing on the other side. Marie's pupils grew larger, she ran and turned off the TV; she tried to calm her nerves before she opened the door. She breathed in and out, in and out and paced until she felt calm. She drank a whole glass of ice cold water and finally, she was calm. She put her hand on the doorknob breathed once more and opened the door and saw Matthew standing there.

"Hi, Matt." Marie said opening the door only halfway.

"Hey Marie, I needed to talk to you about something, it's really important. May I come in?" Matthew asked politely while smiling.

"Yes, of course." Marie said, opening the door all the way in and inviting Matthew in. Matthew went and sat on the arm of the couch. Marie sat on the cushion of the couch, where she was sitting before. She positioned herself and sat on the remote of the T.V.; showing the news of Scott, Marie, and Matthew. Marie looked at the T.V. not believing what she just did. While, Matthew looked furious at Marie.

"Why didn't you tell me about this?" Matthew yelled, pointing at the TV.

"Well, I didn't know if you knew," lied Marie.

"Cut the crap, Marie! You knew about this, you didn't want to tell me," argued Matthew.

"No, I didn't want to hide it from you!" Marie yelled back.

"Then why didn't you tell me?" Matthew asked.

"How are you supposed to bring it up in a conversation?" Marie pointed out.

Matthew stood there and put his hand on his waist, "Good point," He agreed, looking down at the ground.

He moved himself closer to Marie, "I want to tell you what I wanted to tell you, before." Matthew changed the subject.

"Ok...?"

"I need to tell you quickly," added Matthew looking out the door, occasionally.

"Ok, then just tell me," Marie said, peaking at the door to see what he was looking at. Matthew's hand moved her face look at his instead.

"I like, no I love you. I love you, Marie Middleton," Matthew told her quickly, "I have loved you and I always will, Marie." He whispered. By the time Marie could function those words into her brain; Matthew drew her close by the hip and kissed her.

At the same time, Scott walked into the doorway, with Marie's favourite flowers and wearing a tux to ask Marie out, like Brendan told him. Scott stood in the doorway for about a minute until, Marie turned around and saw Scott standing in the doorway. His face was mixed with many emotions, mainly anger and sadness. Scott left the doorway and walked down the hallway, throwing the flowers down it.
