"I wonder if your therapist knows everything about me"
~The Last Of The Real Ones by Fall Out BoyRuby's POV
I wake to a call from Bronwyn.
I yawn, "yes?" I ask her and look at the time. "It's three in the morning."
"I captured Andrew."
"You—wait what," I said confused, and thought I was dreaming.
"I captured Andrew," Bronwyn said again in an annoyed tone. "I cornered him in a supermarket and locked him up in a cold room."
"DUDE! He could die in there!" I whispered loudly.
"Fine. I'll lock him in a closet. Call the others, will you?" Bronwyn asked and hung up without a reply.
"Ugh," I grunted and got up from my bed.***
The others said they would arrive at the supermarket soon. All equally surprised that Bronwyn locked Andy up.
I walk into the supermarket and see Maya and Rayna standing beside the meat aisle.
"Andrew is in the janitors closet," Rayna sighed. "Bronwyn refuses to let him out. Autumn's trying to reason with her."
Maya nodded, "Browyn thinks that Andrew has something to do with Alexia's disappearance."
"Well, he does doesn't he? I think I remember someone saying that," I say to them.
"Well, I don't know?" Rayna responded, then she starts to lead us over to where they are.
I see Autumn smacking on a door saying, "oh my gosh, just let him go!" She turned to look at us and said, "she's questioning him, apparently."
"Well, fuck," Rayna snorted. "Andrew's dead."
"I DON'T KNOW ANYTHING, OKAY," I heard Andrew yell, and I didn't know he can put any emotion into anything. And just the thought of that made me laugh.
Bronwyn came out of the room minutes later with Andrew's arm in a firm grasp. Then she threw him to the floor.
"I don't know anything about Alexia's disappearance. Believe me. She was at my house on September 3rd though. She didn't tell me anything," Andrew said while looking at the floor.
Bronwyn snorted, "alright, but we need you to tell us if you know anything. Okay? Or I swear—"
"Okay, Andrew you can go," Rayna snapped.
Andrew gave Rayna a grateful look, and then got up and walked out of the supermarket as quickly as possible.
"Wait, Bronwyn, how did you get in here in the first place?" Autumn asked.
Bronwyn ignored her.***
We decided we were going to go get some food from a restaurant called 'the lonely jester' which was a lame choice on my part. My parents and I had gone there a ton when I was little. The staff walked around in cheap looking costumes and talked in an exaggerated British accent that got more annoying as the meal progressed. I thought that this depressed shit show would distract us from the shit show that we were currently living in. Unfortunately I realized that no one was in the mood to make fun of underpaid waitresses. We pulled up into the empty lot beside the restaurant and our car let out a squeak. Bronwyn had disappeared somewhere to avoid the awkward conversation so that just left me, Maya, Rayna and Autumn. Autumn took a look around and scowled
"Ew! This place smells like trash and poor people." Everyone stopped.
"Shut up Autumn... we just need a place to talk," I retorted. "Yeah well, if somebody actually cared about others and not just her creepy dog man boyfriend, we wouldn't even need to be here. My reputation is hanging by a thread after hanging out with you losers and the only reason why I'm still here is because of Alexia."
What. In. The. Actual. Hell. Is she seriously blaming this on me?
"Autumn why would you say that shit about me! If anyone doesn't care it's probably you. You're so focused on who's allowed your own private bubble that you can't even see the full picture. There is a literal MURDERER running around here and if you can't get your pretty face out of the clouds then you're going to end up dead. Just like Alexia."
"Hm, what was that?" She wasn't even listening. "I couldn't quite hear what you were saying. My mascara smudged and I had to reapply... cause you know, my reputation."
She walked in front of me then flipped her hair in my face. I stared at her, speechless. "And if we're talking about her, she probably deserved it, nobody goes after anyone just for the fun of it. She probably stole some drugs from the wrong person, and got what was coming." Rayna stood up from her seat in the car and stormed over. Even though she was much smaller then Autumn she faced her with a glare of pure hatred. Then came the slap. I could hear it echo around the lot. "That's what you get for being a little, spoiled, narcissistic-" Rayna was cut off by the sound of glass shattering against the pavement. I glanced up and saw Maya, broken bottle in hand with the most disgusted look on her face.
"THATS ENOUGH!" Everyone was silent. "You guys can go and bitch slap each other and I won't give a crap. But right now we're trying to figure out who killed Alexia. She was my best friend... one of my only friends. And if y'all can't even get your egos in check for one stupid minute, Ill take a knife and kill each and every person in this pathetic town until I find her killer. And I won't hesitate to cut one of you." Everyone shut up and went inside. The waitress came we all ordered coke except for Autumn, who insisted that she didn't need the extra calories. The rest of the meal was silent. Nobody was really hungry. Everyone had lost their appetite because of the circumstances.~~~~~~
so y'all who don't know me or my friends... Autumn took over and i'm not writing anymore 😪 personally i think the book will be better from now on
