I sit down on the couch.
"What happened between u and mom?" I ask.
"Let's just say we didn't get along." My dad says. "How's Alex!"
"He's doing good, u still never visited him." I say.
"Aja, ur mother made me hit u!!!" He says.
I didn't know what to say.
"I never wanted to! She made me drink, and abuse...." He says but I interrupted him.
"No one can make u do anything!" I say.
"This is why me and ur mother r divorced!" He says.
I can never forgive him!
"I did a wrong thing marrying her! I'm trying to change! The last time I drank was last week! And u know it's hard for me!" He says.
"If u r trying to change then why r u dating this girl! She can be my older sister!! She's Alex's age! U know how gross that is!" I say.
"Rachel is different." He says.
"She's a snobby bitch!" I say.
"Hey don't talk bad about her! U hardly know her!!!!" He says.
Then I see Rachel walk in and says "Honey,what's going on?"
"Pick me or her!" I say.
I see my dad looking at Rachel. Did he really want to pick her over me!
"U know what!!!! Pick Rachel! I don't give a f*ck!" I say and I run out of the house.
"Aja, wait!" He says.
I go into Dans car.
"What happened?" He asks.
"Let's just say I'm not living with them!" I say.
"Then where will u live?" He asks.
"I guess it's time to get a job!" I say.
"Really! That's great! But r u sure u want to live on ur own!" Dan says.
"I'm sure!" I say.
"Whatever u want." He says and kisses me on the cheek.
~The next day~
The mall.
"So do u wanna get a job at a clothing store or..." Dan asks.
"I don't know, maybe a sneaker store?" I say.
We walk into "SneakerHeads".
"Welcome to SneakerHeads! Do u need any help?" A nice lady says.
"I wanted to know if I can work here?" I say.
"Umm ok, let me get the manager." She says.
Then a man around 29 years old walks toward us.
"Hi, I'm Jordan Torib, the manager of this store!" He says.
"Torib.... That name sounds firmiliar.." I say.
"I never got that before! Hahaha I wonder why." Jordan says.
His last name sounded so firmiliar! But why?
