Zeal's POV: (I know its new but I felt like trying to give some insight on the new guy)
As we run through the compound looking for an escape route I glance over at the kid running next to me. Wow, he looks like he went through the underworld and back. What the heck happened to him. I look closer at his injuries. (Mild gore warning) The kids back was barely concealed by his bloody tatters for clothes. It was a horrible mass of scars and weeping open wounds that cut into the deep part of his flesh. There were a multitude of different injuries made by countless weapons. The kid was also horribly malnourished and sleep deprived. In all he looked like he would break if you so much as poked him.
I shake my head to get out of my thoughts and focus on escaping. I see a faint glow down a side hall and start running that way. It was just a feeling, but from past experience I've learned to trust my instincts.
"Kid follow me. I think we can get out up there and after that we can take care of your injuries." The kid just glances at me and avoids eye contact. He gives a stiff nod and follows me.
As we get closer I realize that the light was where a part of the building had collapsed due to B46's rampage that had harmed the structural integrity of the building. Another point for my instincts I think with a wry smirk. All these idiots think they are infallible but once one variable gets out of control, they loose it all. Me and the kid get outside and see...
A whole lot of nothin'
There was just trees, dirt, more trees, guards noticing our escape, grass...
Oh crap guards, this does not bode well for us.
"RUN!"
***** Danny's POV right before making it outside:*******
Who is this guy? How the heck did he notice the break in the wall from so far away? Why does he care about helping me?
As I was having a moment of crisis we run outside and I glance around and see a pair of guards doing patrols around the building. They glance up and see us.
"RUN!"
Zeal grabs my wrist and starts bolting into the forest. The guards pause for a moment, probably shocked to see two prisoners running out of that awful place. Then they snap out of it and chase after us.
"GET BACK HERE YOU SCUM!"
Oh my bad how rude of scum like us to run for our lives let me just stop right here so you can take me back and experiment to your hearts content. I think at them sarcastically. Yah like heck I'm stopping when does that ever work? As I rant in my head Zeal and I run deeper and the trees grow thicker and the foliage starts to get more suffocating.
I start losing energy. I barely had any to begin with I had been running on fumes, adrenaline and pure luck. All the words and taunts the GIW have told me run trough my head and I felt like it was all true, all I am is a useless it who is just a burden to those around me. "Keep going... I think... I'm gonna... Pass..." I tried to get Zeal to ditch me before I passed out.
"Yah, I'mma stop you there kid, just shut up. If you can't keep going, I'll carry you. If I leave you here for those demons, I'll be as evil as them. We'll make it together now or die trying."
I felt a sense of pure astonishment at this man who I had just barely met being so loyal already. And then I proceeded to give in and let the darkness consume my senses.

"Uuuggghhh"
"Why that's a lovely noise right there! How you feeling kid." I slowly open my eyes and glance around noticing a distinct lack of GIW guards chasing us.
"How...?" I let the question hang in the air. Zeal suddenly looked uncomfortable before sighing and looking back at me with a determined gleam in his eye.
"I need to catch you up on exactly who you're running with and we need to come up with a plan."
A/N: I'm sorry I know this chapter is short and my updates are very sporadic but I tend to write when I feel really motivated so while I'll try to update once a week it may not happen or it may be short. I wasn't actually going to write the escape scene *cough* because I'm an unimaginative potato *cough* but when I started writing it turned into the escape scene. Hope its okay I started writing this around 11 and finished at 1 am while being surrounded by family. Also I guess happy thanksgiving to any American friends who might read this. I may go back and revise this chapter I'll see how it sounds when I'm not struggling to open my eyes and make coherent sentences.
