Danny Phantom meets Young Justice

10: Alliance

SURPRISE!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉 I'm not dead! Sorry it took so long my muse left me and I had writers block on this story for a quite a while and a bunch of other crap occurred, including me currently applying for jobs, and couldn't figure how to continue. I have gone through and edited all the previous chapters and rearranged the layout so all my A/N will be at the end of the book, sorry if you don't like that new chapters won't be at the very end of the book as they come, but the story runs smoother that way. Hope you like the new chapter.

Danny POV:

Zeal and I were resting in the warehouse talking about nothing in paricular, just trying to pass time for a bit.

Suddenly I hear noises coming from outside the warehouse. "Zeal I need you to trust me for a second, and don't make a sound."

3rd person POV (the team):

Wally and Kaldur rush into the warehouse and Robin drops down from the vents that line the ceiling and they got into ready stances. Only, there was nothing there.

"Megan I though you said you felt them but there isn't anyone here." Sent Robin through the mind link as he started to look around a bit.

"The 2 entities are still there they should be right in the middle of you guys!" Said Megan slightly panicked.

Wally swiped his hand through the air and quickly ran around the warehouse to look for anybody hiding. "Miss M I think you might be confused because there is nobody here."

"B-but i could've sworn I felt something!" M'gann said as she focused on the area again. "Guys I'm not crazy there is something in there with you guys and it seems to be moving towards the east wall."

Immediately Robin, KF, and Aqualad flipped around and looked at the east wall. When they didn't immediately see anything they paused before Robin started going through different modes on his mask until he reached one that showed something. KF go to thermal imaging!

Kid Flash quickly did so and saw why Robin told them to turn on thermal imaging. There was a cold spot in the area directly between them and the east wall that was somewhat in the shape of an adult and a child.

Robin held out his hands and stepped forward. "Danny Phantom and Zeal Mast? Listen we just want to talk."

Danny's POV:

"...we just want to talk." I scoff. These guys were the heros the GIW sent after us. No way they get my trust that easily.

Then the kid with red hair who was in the yellow suit spoke up. "We looked into the Guys in White when they asked us for help. You did nothing to deserve that Phantom. We really just want to help."

In my surprise my invisibility and intangibility faltered for just a moment and the hero with blond hair and markings on his arms saw Zeal and I.

"You have nothing to fear from us Phantom, the GIW doesn't know that we and the Justice League are onto them. We plan on shutting them down, but in the mean time we can protect you two from getting captured by them again."

I drop the invisibility since its pointless now but keep up intangibility in case they try to catch us off guard.

Zeal speaks up and pushes me behind him a bit keeping contact for my powers to work on him too. "Yeah? Why should we trust you? The GIW are a sanctioned government branch that and they have been doing unspeakable things for years with no issue. Why would we believe that now you guys care, when in the past nothing has been done."

The hero's slightly flinch at the accusing tone in Zeal's voice. The kid with the domino mask steps forward and Zeal and I step back to keep the distance between us.

"I know this seems like a trap to lure you in, but I swear it isn't. The only reason the League hasn't gone after the GIW before this is because they put up a good front. They act like paranoid idiots who are merely being tolerated while keeping all of their actual plans and intentions hidden within a select group of people. I am sorry we didn't figure it out before, we didn't think that they would become an actual threat."

I take a step to the side so I can face them clearly. "What about Amity Park? Why did no hero's get involved when all the ghosts started attacking?" I glare at them daring them to answer that.

The blond haired boy with black markings stepped forward to answer so he was in line with the stoplight kid. "Phantom, I don't know the full story, but while we suspected there was something happening in Amity, most information was stopped before reaching us, or it was downplayed so it seemed to small to be an issue. I wish it had played out differently, but we cannot change the past. Now we only wish to help where we failed to before this. So will you accept our help?"

They all looked at me and Zeal expectantly. I looked up and made eye contact with Zeal and he lightly shrugged and gestured that it was my decision. I looked back at them. "How do I know we won't be prisoners again, or that you are being truthful. As sincere as you sound, I've been burned before and it will take more than a few nice words to make me trust you."

In a blink of an eye the red head ran closer and took off his mask. "Names Wally West, nice to meet you Phantom." He held out his hand to shake.

"What the freak Wally!? You can't just do that!" Yelled domino mask.

When neither Zeal or I went to shake his hand he shrugged and let it drop before facing his teammates. "Danny here has a point, he has no reason to trust us unless we show him some as well. It's a two way street Rob."

Domino mask pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed. "Alright fine but you get to explain your actions to Bats." Wally paled a bit but kept a grin on his face as her turned again to face me and he looked me in the eyes.

"So Phantom what do you say?"

*builds fortress* hey sorry for the wait, but I'm back now! 😁 I'll try to update more but I still have classes (because being the idiot I am I signed up for summer online courses) and I have been helping my mom after she had surgery on her shoulder recently. So I hope you liked this chapter, should Danny go with the team or should he reject their offer? Let me know as the plot is always open for ideas and change! Read and Review please.
