Outside were Cookie's friends in a red Chevrolet. In shotgun was Marlon who's brown hair and grey eyes could make any girl melt. In the back seat was Heather who appeared to have a stank look on her face. She was a very pretty girl with her blond hair and piercing green eyes. But the way she treated people other than Marlon made her a special kind of ugly. Driving the car was someone I didn't recognize automatically. He had auburn hair, dark brown eyes and some freckles on his nose. He looked around my age from what I could tell.

"This is my cousin James," Marlon said while gesturing towards him. James gave a small but dashing smile back at Cookie and I. He definitely was a looker that's for sure.

I soon got into the backseats next to Heather. Cookie was near the window away from Heather and I was in the middle just in case some catstratching happens. Heathers glared at me and then turned her attention back towards the window. I rolled my eyes at her childish actions. I wasn't going to start with a 15 year old. Well ok. Only if I needed to then I would do it.

"Ya know, I've never seen you in Tulsa before James," Cookie stated.

"I just moved here from Philly. My ma just got a new job in Tulsa," James said with a small hint of an accent. Cookie nodded and Heather just grunted.

"Got something in your throat?" I asked Heather annoyedly. Of course she didn't say anything back.

Cookie looked upset at Heather too. These girls sure did hate each other alright. It's pretty hard to believe that these two used to be inseparable. They used to have sleepovers every Friday talking about who the cutest "The Beatles" member was. They used to try on each other's clothes and have their own fashion shows. And they promised that they wouldn't let any boy come between them. Of course that promise was broken.

So Cookie told Heather that she had a crush on Marlon and that she was planning on going to the dance with him. When Cookie was about to ask him, Heather told her that he already had a date and that she couldn't go with him. Cookie eventually lost hope and didn't go to the dance in general. When she asked who Marlon went to the dance with, she found out that Heather had lied about Marlon having a date so she could ask him herself. The following week after the dance Cookie went up to Heather and slapped her in the hall. Then that was the end of their friendship. Very tragic indeed.

After driving for at least 10 minutes, we finally got to our destination. Which was an abandoned park. Is this where teenagers like to hang out? An abandoned park? I can't believe this. James parked the car to the side and we all came out. Everything about this park looked crusty. The slide, the swing set and even the benches. Imagine wearing a nice outfit just for it to get ruined by park filth.

"I thought you said we were going to Cherry's house?" Heather asked.

"I think that this is a good enough hang out spot," Cookie replied while looking at Heather as if she wanted to pick a fight. Oh god. Here we go again.

"Well I used to come around here as a kid and I just wanted to see if it was still in good shape. Besides we can just still hang out," Marlon said while looking around at the park. Marlon must have had an unpleasant childhood then.

James went to the trunk to pull something out. He grabbed out a case of alcohol. Beer to be exact. What kind of hanging out is this? I'm happy that I came with Cookie. If I didn't then she would have made the worst decision of her life. James started to hand out some of the beer bottles. Cookie started to open her's when I went up to her.

"Cookie do you really think you're gonna drink that crap?"

Cookie gave me a hard stare. She then popped open the beer and started to chug it. When she stopped, she gave me an even angrier look. Her cheeks were flushed from the alcohol and she was breathing heavily. I tried to snatch the bottle from her hands when she pushed me away.

"Piss the hell off Candy," she slurred and started to walk back towards Marlon and the others who were now smoking cigarettes. I need to take her home now. I don't care how long it takes, I just need to get her away from her "friends."

"Cookie we're leaving right now. And I don't give a shit whether you want to leave or not!" I said while trying to pull her away from the group.

She fought her hardest to try to get me off. The group looked in shock at what was happening. Heather was trying to suppress a smile, Marlon eyes were wide with surprise and James just looked plain disgusted. I guess he ain't a looker after all.

Finally she stopped resisting and let me drag her away. I took the bottle and threw it to the ground in anger. Never again will I let my sister drink at such young age. I don't care if it's someone else's kid but never my sister. Never in a million years.

Cookie and I started to walk away from the park. Cookie was stumbling as she walked next to me. I then heard a small sniffle come from her. When I looked at her, she had tears running down from her large eyes.

"Why did you do that Candy? Why did you have to humiliate me like that? In front of my crush and enemy? Do you hate me that much?" Candy asked still slurring her words. I didn't say anything back for a while. Then I pushed the words out my throat.

"Cookie I don't hate you. If you would have stayed there longer it would have been a bigger humiliation. Hanging out with a bad crowd can bring out the bad out of you," I said quietly to her. Cookie of course didn't respond back.

After walking for a while I heard voices coming from ahead. As we walked further I saw two greaser surrounded by a group of drunken Socs. In one of the larger Soc's grip was a greaser. His was pale with fear as he tried his hardest to get unloose from his grip. The other greaser had his switchblade out trying to fight the other Socs. The Soc vs Greaser thing was the most ridiculous thing in this damn town. We have better things to worry about than this useless violence.

"What's going on here?" I asked  as I started to talk towards the group. The large Soc let go of the greaser boy and stared at me.

"We were just teaching them a lesson," he said while laughing with his friends.

"I'll handle them for a while so you boys won't have to waste your time on greaser trash like them anymore," I replied with a smirk on my face. The large Soc looked questionably at his gang who just shrugged in response. He then told his gang that they can leave. I can't believe it was that easy. I guess I am able to get guys to do whatever I wanted them to.

The two greasers look at me with frightened expressions on their faces. I smiled back at them warmly.

"I'm not going to mess with you guys. I just said that to make sure that they left y'all alone," I said. They looked suspiciously
at me for a moment and then nodded.

"I'm Ponyboy," the greaser with the switchblade said. He had heavily greased light brown hair and greenish-gray eyes. He looked about my sister's age. I looked at the other boy who still seemed frightened.

"That's Johnny. He doesn't talk that much," Ponyboy explained. He had tanned skin, dark hair and large eyes. I smiled at him and he turned pink slightly in response. Aw these two are so adorable.

"I'm Candy and this is my very drunk sister Cookie," I said while gesturing to my sister who was apparently falling asleep while standing up. I shook her slightly and she jolted awake. She then gave a confused look and started to nod out again.

"Thanks for saving us. I didn't think that a Soc would have the heart to do that sort of thing," Ponyboy said softly.

"No problem. This Soc vs Greaser thing is pointless in my opinion. Besides, I don't think y'all need to be punked like that. How about I'll walk you two home just to make sure nothing else happens,"

I woke up Cookie again and started walking home with the two greasers. Of course this decision have a big impact in the future.
