Super Mario Eevee Bros. Book 2: Lightning and the thunder

Chapter 2

Eevee Mario and Eevee Luigi landed on the grassy floor face first. The Thunderstone Luigi was holding fell on his head. "Ow..." he groaned. He slowly got to his paws and rubbed his head.

Suddenly, Luigi had the tingling feeling of evolving and transformed into a Jolteon.

"Luigi??? Luigi!" Lightning ran towards him and hugged him tightly. "It's been so long since we've seen each other."

Luigi's head still hurt but he was happy to see her again. "It's nice to see you too."

Mario got to his paws and picked up his Fire Stone first. He evolved into Flareon. Then, he picked up his Water Stone and put it in his pocket before approaching Lightning and Luigi. "Lightning, What seems to be the problem?"

Lightning pulled away from Luigi to answer. Follow me. I'll show you." They followed her to Rita the Chikorita in Pokecuffs growling. She was restrained to a tree so she wouldn't escape.

"What happened?" Mario asked.

"The Starter Squad has been acting strangely recently. I need your help to find out who is behind this. Without the Squad, the town will be doomed and the town will be overrun by criminals like it did years ago before the Squad was created." Lightning answered.

"Of course, we'll help, Lightning." Mario replied.

Luigi walked over to Rita with curiosity. He looked into her eyes. "She looks like she's being controlled by something, but what?" At that moment, Rita snapped at him. Luigi quickly jumped back as her teeth barely missed his paw.

"Luigi, stay away from her. She's dangerous."

"Yeah, I know that now." Luigi replied. "We gotta do something about this."

"Yes we do. Which is why I sent Klefki to get you so you could help me. You are honorary Starter Squad members of course."

"Yeah, But we forgot our badges back at home."

"Don't worry, you don't really need them anyways. At least you have your Evolution stones."

"Well that's too bad because I grabbed them before I went through the portal." Klefki replied. She gave the brothers their badges.

"Thanks Klefki." They responded.

"Well, now that we have you two with us, we can work together to solve this mystery and put the culprit behind bars where he belongs" Lightning told them.

The brothers nodded. "So what are we going to do first?" Mario asked.

"Well we have to take Rita somewhere where she won't cause trouble. We'll take her to the P.K Police and they'll decide what to do with her for now until we get this settled." Lightning replied.

"Okay. Then what will we do?" Luigi asked.

"We will go to the headquarters and tell Paarthurnax that we will find the one who is doing this and we won't give up until we do." Lightning answered.

"So now that we know what we're doing first let's a get this started. Let's get a move on." Mario replied.

"Right..." They agreed.

Klefki went into Luigi's scruff again and they went off to the PK Police with Rita.
