Chapter 27

Luigi rushed through the forest, tears blinded his vision from what Swift told him. He continued running until his legs gave out and he collapsed to the floor face first. He pushed himself up, rubbed his eyes and looked around. Suddenly, he heard a familiar laughter. Booish laughter.

The three Gastly appeared around Luigi and surrounded him.

Luigi gasped in surprise and trembled.

"Look at the little scaredy-cat.." One teased.

"L-Leave me alone..."

"Nah... We're just going to have a little fun before we take you with us." Another one spoke up with a chuckle.

Luigi gulped and tried to back up but to no avail.

Before the Gastly had a chance to do anything to him however, a Thunderbolt Attack hit them. "You leave him alone!!!" She yelled.

Of course, the little Pikagirl and her friends come to his rescue. "You might as well give up!!"

"Never! You're obviously outnumbered here!!" Lightning replied.

"We will never give up!!" Alex added.

"Fine... We warned you." One of the Gastly attacked with a Dark Pulse.

They dodged it and Lightning used Electro Ball on one of the Gastly. Gabe used Magical Leaf on the second. Alex used Ice Punch on the third.

All three of the Gastly growled in rage. "You shouldn't have done that!!"

"Well you shouldn't have messed with us!" Lightning added.

Mario used Shadow Ball And Lightning used Electro Ball fusing the Attack into an Electro Shadow Ball. The Gastly were hit with the attack and one of them was Paralyzed.

Lightning used Iron Tail on the Paralyzed one and he fainted.

The other two left both used Sludge Bomb but the group dodged.

Churro used Leaf Storm And Gabe used Magical Leaf, weakening the last two but they wouldn't give in. Mario and Lightning used another Fused Electro Shadow Ball Attack And took down the final Boo Gastlys.

"Luigi, are you alright?" Mario asked, walking towards Luigi.

"I'm fine..." He mumbled.

"Are you sure..."

Luigi didn't answer and instead looked down to the floor and sighed in despair. "No..."

"Don't listen to Swift. He's just jealous. He has a crush on me and I don't feel the same with him so he tries his best to get me to love him."

"Oh... But what he said was right... I am a loser..."

"No you are not! Just ignore him! You're number one to me. You're a hero. You're special to us." Lightning told him. She walked towards him and was about to kiss him on the cheek before Swift rushed towards Luigi and used Volt Tackle making him hit a tree back first and fall into a puddle of mud.

"You're worthless. You're such a push over. Lightning doesn't deserve someone like you. She doesn't need a Humon." Swift shouted.

Unexpectedly, Lightning physically punches Swift in the face. "You leave him alone!!!!" She walks into the mud puddle and helps Luigi up. "Are you okay?"

Luigi doesn't reply.

"Luigi don't listen to him. Don't let him get under your skin. I love you for who you are."

Swift uses Thunder on Luigi and he collapsed.

"No!!! Luigi didn't do anything to you!! Leave!! I don't want to see you hurting him again!!" Lightning snapped.

"Look at him... He's weak."

"He is not!!! He is stronger than you think he is!!" Lightning argued. "Leave!!! I never want to see you near me again!!!"

"Alright fine... As you wish..." Swift sighed and ran off.

"And good riddance..." Lightning mumbled through gritted teeth. Lightning and Mario approached Luigi and gave him a hug, followed by the group.

"It's alright... We won't let that happen to you again..."

Luigi rubbed the tears out of his eyes and gave them a tiny smile. "Thanks..."

Swift rushed back to the Pikachu Village. "Sir!! I have some terrible news..." he told Thunder, somewhat worriedly.

"What is it, Swift?"

"Those humons are crazy. They want to take Lightning away from us!!" He lied.

"WHAT!!!!!" Thunder growled. "Not on my watch!!" He then left the Pikachu Village to look for them.

"Perfect..." Swift smirked, laughing softly to himself. "She will be my Light soon."
