Luigi continued following Lightning's trail. "Don't worry Lightning... I will save you if it's the last thing I do..." he whispered.
Suddenly, two Meowths blocked their path. Luigi stopped. "Who are you?"
"It doesn't matter who we are..." one Meowth mewed.
"You're one of the Meowths from the cave, are you?" Luigi questioned.
The Meowths didn't answer so Luigi continued. "Have you been following us???"
"Maybe..."
"What do you want???" Luigi asked.
"It's none of your concern. You Starter Squad members ruin the fun. I think it's time we get rid of you."
"What do you mean by that?" Luigi questioned.
The other Meowth hissed in annoyance. "Do you ask too many questions???" He asked. "We'll claw your eyes out if you don't get out of our business."
One of the Meowths pounced At Luigi and swiped a sharp claw at him. Luigi dodged and used Shadow Ball. The Meowth was knocked back. He hissed. "You will pay for that!!!"
Luigi gulped. "I don't think they'll going to give up... We don't have time for this right now... We have to save Lightning..." he thought.
"We won't give up until our main target is taken care of so we can get our reward..."
"Main target? What do you mean by that?"
"You don't need to know..." One of the Meowth answered in a low growl. The Meowth used Slash on Luigi's side, leaving a small scratch. He winced in pain. He used Iron Tail and slammed his tail down on one of the Meowths.
Jake used Water Gun on the Meowths. They yowled. "Water!!! Why did it have to be water!!!" They hissed. "We'll be back for vengeance!!!"
The Meowth shook as much water off as they could and fled.
"That was easy..." Jake said.
"Good job Jake. Now we can finally continue." Luigi replied.
"Well let's get to it then. Let's hurry..." Churro responded.

Lightning sighed. "Luigi... Please be okay..."
Suddenly she heard a familiar voice call her name. "Lightning?"
She looked up to see Luigi and their friends. "Luigi??? Luigi, you made it..." she whispered quietly to avoid causing disturbance to Audra, Gir and Charlotte.
Luigi used Bite on the vines to free Lightning. "Thanks Luigi... I knew you would come for me." She smiled and hugged him. "Let's get out of here..."
"Not so fast!!!"
They turned to see Audra and her two Mimikyus henchmen glaring at them.
They gasped. "Audra!!"
Audra charged Electro Ball and Gir and Charlotte were about to use Dark Pulse.
Luigi growled. "Y-you won't take Lightning away from me again."
"Let's see about that" Audra replied.
Audra, Charlotte And Gir released their attacks. Jake used Water Gun, Max used an Ember and Churro used Energy Ball to counter all the attacks.
"Thanks guys..." Lightning told them.
Luigi used Shadow Ball on Gir and Charlotte. Lightning used Quick Attack and Iron Tail on Audra. However, Audra used her own Iron Tail to knock her back. Audra laughed. "You can't stop me!!"
"Yes I can..." Lightning mumbled as she quickly got back up.
"Will you ever learn to give up!!"
"Never!! The Starter Squad never gives up!!"
"Well they should or many of you will be killed."
"We'd rather risk our lives to the greater good rather than letting evil win." Lightning replied.
"Well in that case, this'll be your final fight, Lightning!!!"
Suddenly, Lightning was hit by a Woodhammer Attack from Gir.
"Lightning!!!" Luigi shouted. He used a Shadow Ball on Gir followed by a Bite Attack. Gir tried shaking him off but it proved to be difficult because he held on. Luigi tossed Gir to the floor. "No one hurts her!!!"
He rushed towards her to help her up. "Are you alright, Lightning???" He asked, timidly.
"I'm fine... Thanks for helping me."
Luigi smiled at her. She smiled back before turning back to their three opponents.
"Let's stop them together."
"How about we combine our attacks?"
"That's a great idea, Weeg!"
Max used Ember. Churro used Energy Ball. Jake used Water Gun. Luigi used Shadow Ball and Lightning used Iron Tail to hit the Shadow Ball towards the opponents.
After the attacks hit their targets Audra, Gir and Charlotte were knocked out. Lightning and Luigi high-fived. "We did it guys! Now to get out of here."
As they walked outside, they ran right into what they thought was...
"Mario?!" Luigi questioned.
