"Indeed it was. Do you think the Meowth could be a suspect?" Churro asked.
"He seemed like he was hiding something." Luigi answered.
"That's what I thought." Lightning added. "He could be up to something but Meowths can't learn hypnosis. Unless... He might be helping the culprit somehow."
"Purrhaps..." Max purred.
"Did you just make a cat pun?" Lightning questioned.
"Maybe..."
Mario sighed. "Can we keep moving... I'm hungry..."
Luigi rolled his eyes and chuckled. "Of course you are."
"Then let's go." Lightning responded.
Unbeknownst to them, a Meowth watched them from the cave. "Those Starters are up to no good."
Another Meowth replied, "agreed."
"Perhaps We should follow them???" The first Meowth questioned.
"Well we should hurry then before we loose them."
With that the two Meowth agreed and followed.
*** The group of heroes found an Oran Berry bush. They stopped to take a short eating break before they would continue. Suddenly, a Braixen caught sight of them.
She pointed her stick in front of them. "Now what do we have here?!"
"Uh oh..." Lightning mumbled. She went into a battle stance. "What do you want?"
"I want you to come with me" the Braixen growled. She lit her stick on fire and waved it at them. "You are under arrest!"

"What? But we didn't do anything..." Luigi questioned.
"You have done a lot of things. Put your paws up. All of you!!"
"No!! We won't surrender!!" Lightning remarked with a low growl.
"Surrender now... Or prepare to fight!" The Braixen used Flamethrower on them using the flame on her stick. The attack was heading mostly for Luigi.
Luigi gasped in alarm. Luckily Lightning countered the attack with Electro Ball.
"Thanks..."
"No problem Luigi." Lightning replied with a smile.
The Braixen growled in rage from her attack missing. "You're lucky you had your little Pikagirl with you but you won't be protected by my attacks from her for long."
Suddenly, an Ivysaur appeared and used Vine Whip grabbing Lightning. She was pulled towards him with great force. She struggled to get free but to no avail.
"HELP!!!!" She shouted.
"Lightning!!!" Mario, Luigi and the Starters shouted in unison. "Let her go!!"
"If you want her back then you do what we say and surrender." The Braixen told them.
"Never!!" They replied.
"Fine. Your loss. I guess we'll take your Pikachu then."
"Y-you better let her go!! O-or else..." Luigi stuttered.
"Or else what? The little coward is going to try and fight. Well good luck with that. You don't look so tough!!!" The Braixen teased.
"H-he is not a coward. He'll show you. Give her all you got guys!" Lightning shouted.
