(Kaylie's POV)

Liam and I had been slowly walking round the junkyard in silence for the past half hour. Every now and again, he would glance at me to make sure I was okay.

"So how do you know Ajae?" I broke the silence.

"I was in love with her sister, Cassidy." Was all he said before we drifted back into silence. I reached out for his hand and gave it a gentle, comforting squeeze. As we made our way back to the house, the sound of someone talking distracted us.

"Why do I feel like this?"

"You're human, love is a natural thing to feel. It's a good thing."

"Yeah, but what about unrequited love? Is that supposed to be a good thing, cause it doesn't feel like it!" I recognized the voice as Dean's.

"This love is not unrequited."

"How do you know Castiel? You can't read her mind, do how can you know?"

"I can see the way she looks at you."

I looked at Liam, but he wasn't there. He was walking towards the voices.

"Castiel's right Dean, Ajae, she does love you. You just need to stop being such a dick towards her." Liam mentioned.

"I'm not taking advice from you two on relationships." Dean muttered before heading back into the house.

I heard Liam and Castiel sigh.

"I have to go." Castiel said before he disappeared.

Liam looked over to me and beckoned with his head for me to come closer. As I did, he wrapped his arm round my shoulders and whispered into my ear.

"Does Ajae still love him?"

I knew who he was talking about so I just nodded.

(Ajae's POV)

I watched as the ground around me crumbled until the only part left, was that which I was standing on.

"Ajae, quick jump to me." Sam shouted from my left. Between us was a small gap, which I could easily jump.

"Ajae quick give me your hand." Dean shouted from left. Between us was a pit of fire, but Dean was already halfway across to help me. Without thinking, I grabbed for Dean's hand.

"Ajae!" I head Sam shout, his voice becoming distant.

"Ajae!"

-

"Ajae!" Kaylie's voice woke me.

I groaned and stretched, then glared at her.

"What?"

"Dinner's ready, Bobby told me to come and get you." She smiled at me.

"Okay, I'll be down in a bit." I swung my legs off the bed and stood up. I shook my head, trying to forget that dream and made my way downstairs.

Bobby was in the kitchen, putting out whatever food he'd made. Kaylie and Liam were sat on the small sofa to the right. Sam was sat at Bobby's desk and Dean was on the bigger sofa. Making up my mind I flopped down next to Dean and when he looked at me, I gave him a small smile which he returned.

"Hope you guys are hungry." Bobby shouted as he beckoned people to come and get their plate.

As I went to get up, Dean told me to sit down and he'd get my plate. I stared at his back, wondering what the hell was up with him.

Why is he being nice to me?

He returned with two plates, handed me mine and sat back down. The six of us ate in silence. Every now and again, I would catch Sam glaring at me and then at Dean. When we had finished, Liam and Kaylie went upstairs and Bobby went out back to fix up cars, leaving me, Sam and Dean alone. No one spoke, so we just sat in an uncomfortable silence, until my phone rang. Looking at the name, I left the room and answered it.

"Ajae, I'm sorry to ring, it's just that I was worried about you."

"Alex, I'm fine. Kaylie took care of me."

"Where are you? Is it okay, if I come and see you?"

"That might not be such a good idea. Kaylie took me to Bobby's so Liam could heel me. Sam and Dean are here too."

"Yeah, probably not a good idea if I show up."

"Yeah, so anyway how's the job going."

"Brilliant, I've gathered about 100 new members."

"That amazing. You're really making a difference out there, converting vampires to vegetarians."

"Thanks Ajae, that means a lot."

"Listen Alex, I have to go. I'll talk to you soon."

"Bye hun."

I shoved my phone into my back pocket and turned to see Sam and Dean blocking the doorway. Sam was glaring even more, but Dean had a neutral face.

"You're back in contact with Alex?!" Sam half shouted at me.

"Yes, I am."

"Why?"

"He apologized to me and I forgave him."

"You forgave him!" Sam raised his voice at me, causing me to flinch slightly.

"Yes, I forgave him. He's changed, he's not the same person he was two years ago." I pushed past the both of them and went upstairs, purposely slamming my door loudly.

---

(Dean's POV)

Ajae pushed passed us. I don't blame her.

"Sam, what the hell was that? Why did you shout at her?" I yelled at him.

"Did you not hear what she just said? She's back friends with a vampire, who tried to kill her two years ago."

"So, I trust her and if she trusts him, so do I. She said he's changed and I believe her."

"Whatever." He walked away from me leaving me standing alone in the room.

Sighing I made my over to the sofa and flopped down, grabbing my open beer and thinking about what Castiel had said to me.

There's no way she can still love me after what I've done to her.
