" Are you sure he's the one?"
" Of course, he has the talent, the determination, and just enough luck for it to work. I will stay close and make sure it happens. This time, I will join his group of Gamblers and send money to the village."
" Just go into this carefully after all he could die in the exams so don't get your hopes up."
" I won't let that happen, I'd rather get disqualified than let him die from trying for my sake. I'm sure he's happy to hear that." She smiled as she stared directly at me.
" Heeey." I walk in kinda embarrassed from being caught.
" You know these aren't decorations." She points to her ears that she wiggles just a bit. " So how did things go?" She was smiling anticipating something good.
" Well, there's good news and bad news. Good news I made it to D rank, bad news I took a deal to become C rank with some swordsmanship training."
That's really good!"
" But it's from Miss Violet, who will not let me go into the forest until I passed her test." Her jaw dropped as she fell to her knees. For once I don't think it was being melodramatic.
" Why Nee-sama, why!!"
" Calm down Rea, just work with someone else for a while. It's not the end, Violet always has her reasons. You guys will be out there in no time even better than before."
"Yeah but Hayate and I will have it rough."
" Don't worry your darling Idol and guide will think of something amazing for all of us. Hmm." She took a moment to ponder the best course of action. "Oooh! I got it! I'll take Hayate with me adventuring. If I do that I'll bring in some valuable monster drops and get in some great training. I can send him with some money to give you so you guys can afford to live."
" Great so everything is settled,*sigh* now I cannot get back to training. I'll try to finish fast so we can go back to the original training for the Gambler Exams." This made Rei think of how much he was getting into.
" Wait until we see the results, she has a history as a good teacher. Who knows your sword skills might make you as good as me." She smothered her urge to giggle but he could see it on her face.
He returned to the guild and as he enters the training room a brief *wssh* past his head and a hilt smashed on his forehead.
" You are 5 minutes late, and you are not focused!" Violet words barely made it through past the pain in his head." Starting today I'll train you balance and reflex before you can wield a sword. Now drop your armor and go over there." She pointed towards the top of a large stone spiral. He reached the top and realized that it was just large enough for both of his feet.
Once he stood at the top, without a moment's notice, a sharp object flew to his feet.
" That was your one and only warning shot until I call it quits you will stay up there and avoid them with no weapons or magic. The best way to get your skills up is no bonuses. Summons are normally told to fight monsters for levels off the back as they have skills strong enough to do so, but it weakens there senses and makes them less successful down the road." He ducked as one zoomed overhead as he ducked. He quickly had to jump to dodge the next one and twist in the air for the next tumbling of the perch. He thought to himself the training will be more hell than any dragon could be.
After half of the week had passed and a couple of emergency healings from being "too slow", the training switched to actually holding a sword. Violet thanked his naturally higher agility, he became a level 30 in agility and his dodge skills are unreal.
