Also guys quick review thing, it doesn't really make sense taking in Maddie had her in 2017 in my BFB series if you did read that, but don't think of it that way in here. Sorry if I complicated any of you. That's annoying but ya, just to fill in your confusion

  I stare at the wall. Tears rolled down my cheeks. Summer was going awesome. It was what a week in, I was doing fine obviously. I knew this was coming up. I knew I had to face this day, I just wasn't thinking about it and that made me angry at myself. It was my moms... it was the day my mom died. My dad was trying to get me to go to her grave but I couldn't do it. So here I was, in my room crying like a bitch. My phone was blowing up but I didn't answer anyone. The only person who knew was Austin because he's always known. I couldn't handle anyone right now.
I got up closing my blinds and getting under the covers letting my tears soak my pillow. Thoughts of her flood my memory.

~Flashback~

  "Jo, come on we're gonna be late for school" I heard my mom's voice downstairs. I hop downstairs with my backpack.
  "Do I have to" I groan putting on my shoes.
  "Hey, schools almost over and it's Friday and..." she smiles. "It's your 13th birthday in what like a week right!" She chirps.
  "Fine" I sigh. She grabs her bag and we leave the house. I hop into the car buckling up while she does the same and starts the car.
  "Are any of your friends coming to the barbecue?" She asked turning onto the road.
  "Austin" I reply. "I mean Caleb obviously because his parents are coming too" I add.
  "You can invite whoever" she tells me I nod. "I cannot believe you're turning 13 already. It feels like I had you yesterday" she sighs shaking her head I laugh.
  "That's cause you're younger than most" I tell her she laughs.
  "You're right" she nods. "Let's listen to some music to get you in a good mood before school" She tells me turning up the music and singing along to it. I smile shaking my head.

You could say she was a cool mom. Everyone liked her, she was nice, she was cool and you know.
  "Come on Jo! Sing with me" she nudges me and I sing along with her.

~Flashback over~

I cry more thinking about it, about her. God I miss her like fucking crazy. My phone starts ringing and I see Sam's name flash on my screen I let it ring out. Maybe I should tell him I can't talk right now. But I didn't even have the energy to pick up my phone and write that. I close my eye's letting the tears fall.

~Flashback~

  "So, this is where your dad was being cheesy and took me out on a date in the winter time" mom helps me up the ladder of an old broken down school or something. "You know, one day you're gonna date. Not soon you're only 12 but one day and a boy's gonna be doing something like this for you too" she tells me. I take a step to see over the edge. "Jo, god no you and your father are so much alike" she pulls me closer to her I laugh.
  "I'll be okay" I tell her we take a seat. "it's nice up here" I look at the view of New York.
  "How old are you, because you act so much older than you really are" she says pulling me into her as we sit and watch the city.
  "12" I replied like she doesn't know she breathes out a laugh. "I can't wait to see you have a boyfriend, and bring him home to meet me and dad. And we'll either hate or love him" she says I laugh.
  "That's a while ahead. Guy's are annoying at this age" I tell he she laughs.
  "Oh hunny, guys are annoying at all ages" she says.
  "Dad?" I asked.
  "Always, but I love him so I deal with it" she grins. "He was in more annoying before we dated."
  "How so? I wanna know" I turn to face her fully.
  "Well, he was your uncles best friend, so he was always around. Ever since we were kids. Like you and Austin have been forever. And I always, and I mean always found him annoying. But we were always close because he was around. He'd purposely annoy me, or bug me," she rolls her eye's but has a smile on her lips. "And as we got older, I still found him annoying. He was a popular boy. You know, he was a ladies man also" she adds rolling her eye's again. "But one day he told me he liked me. I didn't at the time, I mean thinking about it I kind of did but I didn't want to admit it, and so I said he was lying and you know didn't talk to him. Until I just kind of realized that I actually do like him. I told him and Bam" she says I laugh.
  "Bam?" I question she nods.
  "Yeah, we kissed and got together" she nods.
  "How did Nathan feel?" I asked. I called my uncle just Nathan all the time.
  "We hid it from like everyone for a long time. But Lila found out, but when he did find out, he didn't speak to both of us. And a lot happened between me and your dad that you can here another day" she tells me I sigh. "Come on it's getting late and your dad probably made dinner or ordered something waiting. Come on" She stands grabbing my hand and we left.
