Bring a friend

I stare at my dad with a completely unimpressed look. You know, going to California for two weeks in the summer and seeing family... it's nice. You get a trip, and all that. But I mean... it's not a good idea when you've been having a decent nice summer with friends, and your boyfriend.

  "Dad, I love you..." I start. "But, this idea sucks ass!" I exclaim he laughs at my use of words.
  "Why?" He asks.
  "Because, I have friends here" I state. "I have no one in California."
  "I'm pretty sure Luke and Lila are making Caleb go" he tells me.

  "Caleb is not Austin, or Sam" I tell him and he laughs again. "I'm not kidding."

  "Your grandma wants to see you" he says.
  "Why doesn't she come here?" I asked.
  "She's old" he tells me. "Nathan's there too."
  "Whatever" I mutter.
  "Hey, you're being a brat right now. Just invite your friends" he rolls his eyes.
  "You think they want to buy tickets?" I asked he shrugs.
  "Then I got nothing for you Jo, you're coming with me. I hate to be this person but sorry this was usually your moms job" he stands.
  "Dad!" I groan.
  "I know you want to be a teenage girl, with her friends and boyfriend, but two weeks is nothing. You have the rest of the summer" he tells me and I sigh.
  "Fine, torture me. Hate me if you'd like. Just remember this is bringing resentment towards you in the future" I tell him dramatically he laughs.
  "Alright" he shrugs. I sigh as he walks away. I grab my phone texting Austin to come over.

  "Oh no, that suck" Austin groans I nod. "2 weeks is long."
  "I know, but he's not gonna compromise with me" I tell him. "I mean it's open for you to come. Doubt you or your parents want to buy a ticket" I reply.
  "I WOULD!" He stands with a smile. my eye's widen surprised. "Not kidding. My mom definitely would, she feels bad for me lately so she's been doing a lot."
  "Don't joke! I need this" I stand with him.
  "I'm not YES BITCH! We're gonna have so much fun in California!" He jumps and I do too.
  "Austin, you're making a lot more noise than you think" Dad walks in.
  "Dad austin coming with us!" I chirp.
  "Great" he nods.
  "I'm about to make your trip amazing MASON!" He exclaims I laugh dad rolls his eyes.
  "mhmm" he nods. Dad leaves and we get excited and talk about details when he goes.
  "Bitch, California here we come!!"

  "Wait you're coming too?" Caleb asks Austin as we all sat in Kyle's basement. Austin nods.
  "Why are you going?" Austin groans.
  "Because my parents are forcing me" he mutters. "Please don't."
  "You don't bitch!" Austin says.
  "Hey, I'm stuck here with those two" Sam says.
  "Hey!" Kyle and Mandy say. I was sitting on Sam's lap on the couch while Caleb and Kyle played video games.
  "How long are you gone?" Sam asks.
  "2 weeks" I reply.
  "And we're gonna come back with Californian boys and amazing tans" Austin smiles.
  "Please don't... Jo" Sam says I laugh.
  "Wasn't planning on that" I reply.
  "We get it, you guys are cute" Austin rolls his eyes with a smile I flip him off. "Buy a ticket and you can come" he adds.
  "Your dad actually let him come?" Caleb looks at me.
  "I was being dramatic, he said I could bring friends" I shrug.
  "My dad fucking sucks" he groans. "Why did you pick him and not Sam?" He asks.
 "Yeah" Sam nods.
  "Because Austin's willing to buy a ticket. Shut the fuck up" I said. "Plus he is my best friend" Austin smiles.
  "Exactly bitches. Suck a dick" he says I laugh.
  "What if I buy a ticket?" Sam asks.
  "Then you can come" I laugh. "HAs this not been obvious the entire time?" I question.
  "My dad will probably make me get a job" he groans I shrug.
  "Thats your problem!" Austin chirps Sam flips him off and Austin does it back. "It's two weeks, we all know you can't stand not being around Jo but give her space" Austin says I bite my lip to stop myself from laughing.
  "FUCK YOU HA!" Caleb jumps up before their banter can go on. "Pay up bitttchhh" He tells Kyle.
  "Calm down" Kyle rolls his eyes as they fight.
  "I'm going to grab some food" I stand Sam's arms dropping to his sides.
  "No surprise" Austin says I throw a pillow at him an run upstairs as he goes to throw it back at me.

I laugh going into the kitchen. I grab a bag of tortilla chips. I could go for a bunch of nachos.
  "Pretty sure it's gonna mad down here" I heard SamI turn to him. "People are throwing everything," he laughs.
  "Not surprised, I think I started it" I laugh he grabs some chips. I hop onto the counter he stands between my legs.
  "I cannot believe you're leaving me" he groans.
  "Can't help it... believe me I tried" I sigh.
  "2 weeks" he says. " I'll try," he smiles.
  "Good luck" I laugh.
  "Thanks, I really need that" he says leaning in and kissing my neck. Maybe I'll need some of that luck myself. "Kinda hoping those California guys are horrible, so I don't have a competition" he mumbles. I laugh.
  "You don't... they're all frat boys, I don't have a thing for frat boys" I tell him he chuckles.
  "Well, I'm lucky" he pulls away from my neck looking at me.
  "Definitely are" I nod he smiles and kisses me. His hands grip my thighs that were on the counter.
  "We should probably go back down, before Austin gets nosey" I laugh pulling away.
  "Can't we just ditch this place? It's my last day with you and then 2 weeks" he says. We were leaving tomorrow, which was oddly quick, I'm surprised Austin even got his ticket that quick. But he didn't care as long as he was there.
  "Yeah, but it's also my last day people downstairs" I add.
  "Ugh fine, but I'm coming over tonight" he takes a step back as I jump off the counter grabbing the chips along with some salsa.
  "Fine by me" I shrug and we head back downstairs.
  "Wow, you two were quiet... and quick" Kyle mutters. I glare at him.
  "Because we weren't doing anything asshat" I tell him Caleb laughs.
  "Doubt it" Caleb sing songs.
  "Eat ass" I tell him and he laughs more.

We all hung out down there for like hours. Until we all... well me and Sam went to my house and the rest to theirs.

  I sip on my coffee while going through the laptop to search for a movie for me and Sam to watch. I see Sam staring at me as I look through the movies.

  "What?" I glance at him then back at the laptop.
  "Nothing" he shakes his head laying back.
  "Don't stare if it's nothing" I reply.
  "You're my girlfriend, I'm sure it's not a crime to look at you" he retaliates.
  "You're right, it's just creepy" I joke he laughs.
  "What are we watching?" he asks.
  "Don't know yet, maybe if you helped I would.." I look at him.
  "Just put on Rick and Morty" he suggests.
  "Ok" I nod putting that on and leaning back against Sam's outstretched arms. He pulls me to lean on him.
  "What time do you leave tomorrow?" He asks.
  "I think 12:00" I reply. "It's a 5 hour flight, one way so we'll get there at 5" I tell him he nods.
  "Ok, text me when you get there. So I know the plain didn't crash" he says.
  "Will do" I laugh. He kisses the top of my head while we watch.
I'll make the best of California with Austin and Caleb. It's 2 weeks nothing can hurt.

So, someone inspired me to make this chapter, well chapters of her going to her grandmas in California and it's happening!! I hope you guys liked this chapter, it was kind of whatever. Like I told you guys. I'm not gonna be making more chapters than my sequel which was in the high-ish 70's idk. But yeah. I really want to know if you want a sequel as well!! Cause I've got some ideas for that, but also for another book!! Please tell me. Anyway, enjoy I'm gonna stop being annoying. Xoxo.
