Our Broken Worlds chapter 8

No ones POV

The atmosphere was tense between Nico and Leo. Both wanted everything to go back to normal, so they could be boyfriends again, but neither knew what to say. So now they sat with Leo facing Nico's back.

"Nico, I'm-" started Leo.

"No wait." Nico turned around to face the Latino and attempted to pour out his feelings even if it meant Leo didn't love him anymore. "I'm so sorry Leo. I....I didn't want this to happen. I just, I just needed to wait until things cleared up between me, you, and Hazel. But I knew it was too good to be true." Nico wiped a tear from his cheek and sighed.

"Ni-" Nico held his hand up and shook his head. "But I know now that Hazel is just a jerk for not realizing that we can be together without it being a disgrace. I'm really sorry Leo-"

Nico blinked rapidly when Leo's lips crashed into his in full force. It caught him off guard but after about 3 seconds, Nico joined in. His heart fluttered and his cheeks were crimson red. Leo and Nico pulled back for air and the first thing Leo did was smile.

"You talk to much, you know that?" Leo asked. He took Nico's hand in his. "No more apologizing, okay? But I do want to say two things." Leo held up one finger. "One, I'm sorry too. Very sorry for running away and coming up with conclusions on my own that you were breaking up with me." Leo held up another finger. "And two, that I love you so much Nico, no matter what."

Nico smiled sadly and enveloped Leo in a hug. "I love you too. "He whispered in Leo's ear.

Leo intertwined his fingers with Nico's as they watched the sunset in each other's arms.

(Next day)

Nico's POV

Me and Leo were siting in Bunker 9, pigging out on junk food and playing video games. Honestly, I'm basically an 80 year old playing video games so of course this wouldn't work out well. So while I was busy dying in every level whether I'm doing it on purpose or not, I have time to plan a date for me and Leo.

Yes, a date. I'm not very romantic but it's worth a shot. We haven't had our first official date yet, so I think I'll take us somewhere.

"Are you even trying, Nico?" Leo asked popping a handful of skittles in his mouth.

"I can't play video games Leo. I don't even know why we're playing them. " I said.

Leo pouted and used his puppy dog face. "Because, Neeks."

"Neeks? No. Don't call me Neeks. "

Leo tackled me in a hug and we ended up sprawled out on the floor with him on top. I blushed and tried not to look directly in his eyes, but Leo lifted my chin and made me. He smiled and kissed me on the lips before helping me up. He carried me bridal style over to his couch he kept in the living area and sat me down. He turned on the amazingly awesome tv he built, putting in a DVD, and sat beside me. I sat in his lap with my head against his chest. His chin was nuzzled on top of my head.

As much as I love sitting in Leo's lap, I really have to go plan this date. I mean, I have nothing to wear, my face has a ghostly complexion, my hair is untamable, and I still don't really know what to do as far as the date itself.

I tapped Leo on the arm. "Leo, I have a surprise for you. Put on your best clothes and meet me at the camp border at 7 pm. "

"Wait what are we going to do?" He asked.
