This is a serious post. It's not to be taken lightly. Your favourite content creators like Markiplier, PewDiePie, Jacksepticeye, even me will be seriously affected by this. You'll be affected by it too.
Article 13 is a serious issue we all need to work together to stop. Matpat from The Game Theorists/ The Film Theorists has made an excellent video saying exactly what it is and how to we can work to help it and raise awareness. From this point forward I'm gonna talk about like you know what it is. The video is there, please watch it.
Even if you can't do much to help it the main thing here is to raise awareness. With this article passed the internet and sharing content will never be the same. We have to use our easy ways to voice information to millions of people to our advantage and raise awareness. One such way is the #saveyourinternet hashtag. People are using it all over the media. Use it too. It's one of the easiest ways to classify a post and for it to be more noticeable.
I know most of us don't have political power. I certainly don't, I barely even know a thing about it. All we need to know is this article will change the way we share content. If it gets past the final stages it will affect the whole world. Copyright laws protecting us will no longer do so, and the companies that see we're making content about their stuff have every reason to strike us down. My books will be gone, YouTube videos will be gone, fanart, everything.
