Dipper began research right away. He flipped through the journal, searched online (and lets just say the dark web is full of some real creeps), checked out the dark part of the library for anything else he could possibly find on this demon now that Bill had revealed the new information. Some guy was selling a blessed silver crucifix online but it was incredible expensive - way more than a high schooler without a job could afford - and was very sketchy since Ebay isn't the most trustworthy of sites. The research brought little results and Dipper found himself exactly where he was days ago. Nowhere.
As the days had passed, Mabel began to drift further and further away from him. Dipper became concerned. One day he came home from school with Chase. Mabel had stayed home on account that she was feeling under the weather and Dipper worried about her all day. Something wasn't adding up. This had to go beyond his sister's concerrn for his well-being. Her appearance grew dull, dark bags forming under her eyes and skin turning a sickly pail. When Dipper had asked his twin how she was feeling, she simply muttered out a fine and that she just "wasn't sleeping much", but Dipper was concerned.
Sitting at the counter of the Mystery Shack was none other than Wendy. Her long leg stretched up onto the countertop from her reclined location on a stool, magazine lazily being scanned through.
"Hey, Wendy. You seen my sister at all today?" Dipper asked, leaning up against the counter. Wendy peered up from the magazine and shrugged.
"Can't say that I have, dude. Heard some banging around upstairs though. Which is weird, because she knows I work all day on Thursdays so she could have come down to talk, I might have even made her some soup if she flashed me one of her smiles. Stan told me she was feeling under the weather. But it has been so weird lately, ya know? Like Mabel has not been herself," Wendy too a long pause, closing her magazine and sitting up, boots smacking against the wood floor. "It's almost like everything that was mabel was just...sucked out of her with a vaccum, replaced with all of the lame parts that made Robbie all sad and mopey. Her whole attitude suddely took a 180. I'm telling you dude, puberty did not act like tha with me...wait haven't you two already hit puberty?"
As if a switch flipped in Dipper's mind, he suddenly sprang up. Mabel wasn't becoming all moody because she was worried about him (I mean sure, she was probably worried) it was because she ws the victim! The happiest girl he knew was the source for that leach. How did he not see it sooner? Dipper's eyes darted over to Chase but only saw Bill's haunting yellow ones staring back. They were on the same page and what Bill had said to him days ago finally made sense.
Suddenly, there was a loud bang and the sound of shattering glass from upstairs. Without any hesitation, Dipper bolted up the stairs, Bill/Chase on his heels, and Wendy jumping off of her stool, wooden feet scraping against hard wood.
Up the stairs, dipper bounded, taking them two at a time and coming to a hault in front of the bathroom door. The light was on and the tap was slowly running. Along the rim of the sink was blood. Lots of it. The mirror was shattered into tiny pieces but that couldn't have been the sound. There was no one in there. Dipper went into the bedroom, a little slower this time, more cautious. The beds had been torn apart and the trunks emptied. The window was shattered and there was blood still dripping from individual jagged pieces.
Dipper ran to the window and pulled it open, sticking his head out to see. In the distance he could see a figur stumbling into the wood. Mabel. Dipper whipped around and met eyes with Bill Cipher.
"It's taking Mabel out into the woods to kill her, I just know it. It has used up all of her happiness and if we dont stop it, she will die," Bill's voice came from Chase's mouth.
"Guys! What happened up there?" Wendy called from the bottom of the stairs. Dipper looked out the window once more before shouting:
"Wendy! Get the golf cart ready!"
