As requested by...well...everyone! I finally got goin with this new chapter. I hate school! I never have time to write anymore. But I know you guys already skipped this part, so enjoy this chapter update!
Dipper felt a strange pressure on his torso. Unsure as to what it was, his eyes bolted open and scanned his surroundings. Mabel was sitting on him.
"Jesus Christ Mabel! What made you think this would be a good idea?" She shrugged and giggled. "Well...I hate to break it to you sister, but you aren't as light as you may think. Will you please get off of me?" Mabel sighed and rolled off of her brother. Dipper sat up and messed with the hair that had been stuck to the back of his neck, due to sweat.
"So...how was your day?" She asked cheerfully.
"It was okay I guess. I got some sleep finally, so that's always good. What about you?" Dipper asked her.
"Great! Chase and I texted each other all day. Well...at least until he got caught. That kinda sucked."
"Seems like something he would do. But good for you." Dipper stood up and stretched, he felt so good to have taken a shower, and gotten some actual sleep.
"Stan brought us some pizza. Want me to bring you up some?"
"Nah. I'll go down with you." Mabel smiled, and the two walked down the stairs together.
"We'll look who's back from the dead! You're looking better Dipper!" Stan greeted him.
"Thanks. I'm feeling better." They all sat at the table, and Stan opened up the box to reveal the hot pizza. Dipper's stomach let out an unexpectedly loud growl. He hadn't eaten anything all day, or the day before really.
"Well, look who's hungry. This guy!" Mabel laughed poking Dipper's cheek. The teen swatted away her hand playfully.
"Hey, can you blame me? I haven't really eaten anything in the last two days!" He grabbed a large slice and took a big bite of it. His stomach instantly thanking him. He let out a quiet groan, as he was relieved that he could finally eat again. Mabel held back a snicker as she watched her brother devour the slice. She too, ate a slice. Just much slower. Dipper grabbed another slice and took a huge bite out of it.
"Slow down kid. You're gonna make yourself sick again." Stan said, placing a hand on his nephew's shoulder. Dipper shrugged, but slowed down some with his chewing. Once he had finished the slice, he let out a burp, and took a sip of his soda.
"Well aren't you a gentleman!" Mabel said, elbowing her twin. Dipper elbowed her back as he finished off his soda. It felt so good to actually eat again. He was far from being alright, but he didn't feel like he was about to die. Just still kind of tired.
They sat together at the table for a little while longer. They made small talk and enjoyed each others company. An act that they didn't usually do. After they had finished, Mabel returned to the shared attic room and Stan sat down in his signature recliner to watch a re-run of Ducktective. Dipper, however, walked into the tourist trap part of the shack and observed the memories. Dipper strode through the shelves, his fingers gracing past each object as he walked by. He came across a very familiar shelf that he remembered from his first day in Gravity Falls. His lips curled into a smile as he eyed the familiar pine tree symbol.
He took the blue and white hat off of the shelf, his thumb sliding against the fabric. The teen adjusted his hair before placing the hat on his head. He looked in the mirror longingly, reminiscing about the summer he spent there. His eyes focused on a figure behind him, it was Mabel.
"Look who's reminiscing," she said, walking up to him. She stood next to him and observed herself in the mirror.
"We really have changed, haven't we?" She stated.
"Yeah. Who would've thought that the two of us would've ended up like this?" Dipper agreed. He felt a chill run down his spine and looked over his shoulder, but there was nothing there. He eyed his surroundings for another moment before shrugging it off and turning back to his twin. "Come on, Mabel. We should get some sleep." They left the mirror and returned to their bedroom.
Dipper stayed home for the rest of the week, trying to get his strength back. It slowly returned to him, with the help of his sister and great uncle. He was sad to notice that Emma didn't text him once while he was staying home. He thought for sure that she would at least ask him how he was doing.
xxxxx
I think I'm gonna make that "x" thing a separation to show you guys when I'm starting author notes, or time skips in the story. Don't worry, author notes will only be at the end of chapters. I left it off kind of weird, but that was the newest chapter so...
