I woke up in my bed, confused and dizzy.
"Wh-what on earth...?"
I hesitantly got up, searching the dark room to find anyone.
What happened? How did I get to my room...?
I just got up, not bothering to check the time.
My body was heavy and I felt like I was sleepwalking.
I went into Blaise's room just because it was closest to mine.
I didn't even knock.
I was just too dead-beat to bother."Blaise, look I'm sorry but could you please tell me what..."
I opened my eyes properly.
Oh great.
All of them were in here.
Well not all of them, actually.
Just Blaise, Lena, Cara and Kenzie. They all just stared at me as if I had announced that I was going to jump off a cliff.
"Uh-sorry, am I interrupting something...?"
I said, with an obvious hint of exhaustion in my voice.
"No! Not at all. Come in."
Well Lena sounded chipper all of a sudden.
I sat down awkwardly, with a dead look on my face.
They all stayed silent.
Well.
Guess we now know who the problem is then, huh?I tried to lighten the mood a little so I just spoke without thinking.
"Uh..So..what we talkin about! Girly stuff?"
Lena giggled a little.
Well, it wasn't very joyful but it was a first!
Kenzie just gave me the 'Are you serious' look."No offence Akimato, even if we were talking about girly stuff, we wouldn't share it with you."
Whaat? I thought they trusted me!
"Yeah-you're not much of a girl."
Lena added.
Hay! I so was!"Yes I am! I was born a girl and technically I still am, right? So why can't I do girly stuff!"
They all laughed.
It relieved me to see them laughing for once in what felt like ages.
Even Cara cracked a smile."We never said you couldn't join in, but you just don't seem like you could keep up with the type of things we talk about."
Lena said, patting my shoulder.
"Alright then. Try me!"
I said, trying to think like a girl. For once.
"Fine. I'll start!"
Kenzie straightened her back and sat up properly. She took out her hair and put it over one shoulder.
It looked-really pretty.
Even if she was joking around.
It kind of made me want to see more of Kenzie's personality."So Akimato, what did you do this weekend? See any hotties?"
She whispered the last part in my ear.
Ok.
This seemed easy enough.
I just...make up something typical, right?"Uh-yes! Actually, I saw this group of really hot chicks."
They all burst into laughter.
"And..?"
"Well...uh-I went up to them! And..."
They all stared at me.
Pressure much?"...and they then became people I cared for...very deeply."
Everything instantly got serious. Including the looks on their faces.
"We kinda figured that out already!"
Kenzie said, breaking the silence.
"What?"
I asked sounding rather dumbfounded.
"We know you-care about us. But, there is also something is pretty obvious as well."
Lena said.
"Yeah-you haven't exactly been very fair on us."
Blaise added.
"On what? Sharing pancakes?"
They rolled their eyes in disbelief.
"Honestly, you can be a real blur sometimes."
That was probably the first word I heard Cara say since the whole argument.
"Nevermind. You'll have to figure it out on your own."
Figure what out?
I thought they liked my pancakes?"Everyone should probably go back to their rooms now. Including you-Akimato. Unless there was something you wanted to talk about with me specifically?"
I shook my head and yawned.
"Night ladies."
I returned to my bed and dozed off. Even though I had spent almost the entire week sleeping already.
