The Outsiders: A New Place

Chapter 8

i awoke suddenly when two bit burst into my room and jumped on my bed.

"two, what the hell are you doing!" i snapped, putting a pillow over my head.

"waking you up, princess!"

"well you've done your job, so get off of my bed!"

he reluctantly jumped off and started to leave my room. "get dressed and come out here when you're ready!"

i closed the door after him and got dressed into the outfit i wore on my first day here. i really need new clothes. i thought to myself.

i got dressed and came out to see two bit on the couch and he turned around when i came over to him. "waddu wanna do today?"

"i really need some new clothes" i said. "wanna go shopping?"

"yeah, fine. come on, we'll take my car."

nothing much happened on the ride there, or the beginning of the shopping trip. but things quickly escalated when were were shopping and a man in ski mask walks through the door.

"everybody put your hands where i can see 'em!"

me and two bit shared looks of fright and flew our hands in the air. the store clerk and the few other customers did the same.

"now, you." he said pointing to the store clerk. "put the money in the bag or ill shoot!"

he pulled out a gun and held it to the store clerks face. she scrambled to get the money and put it in the bag. the robber slowly eyes each and every one of us customers up and down, stopping and staring at me. he walked closer to me and said,

"hey pretty lady, whats your name?"

two bit put a hand on my shoulder and pulled me back, but the robber stopped him. "don't touch her again." i felt two bits hand slowly leave my shoulder, but i didn't want it to.

"now," he continued. "what was your name?"

"none of your business." i replied.

he stepped forward closer, gun in his hand. i had to stop him, he was going to shoot me in the next minute. without even thinking and before he raised the gun, i smacked the gun out of his hand and put my foot on top of it. he looked down at the gun and up at me and i punched him with me new techniques that dally taught me. he fell to the ground holding his cheek.

"two bit, go get the mall security." i said, turning to him.

"what?"

"i said GO GET THE MALL SECURITY! ill hold him off." two bit ran off out of the mall and the robber was struggling to stand up. he wobbled over to me getting ready to swing at me but i dodged like dally had taught. i bent all the way back, knowing the robber couldn't get me when i was like that.

like a slingshot, i snapped up and did my signature move, the kick to the area. he grimaced and hunched over, falling to the ground he just sat there rolling and holding his "thing" when two bit came in with two security guards. all eyes in that store were on me, and i looked at two bit.

"hey two," i started. "i did it again."

he flashed me a bright smile as the security guards picked up the robber and took him away. two bit came over and hugged me and he put his head on top of my head. "i was so worried 'bout you. i thought he was gonna kill you and me both. you're the coolest little sis a guy could ask for."

"awe, two, you're the coolest big brother a girl could ask for."

"i thought you said you weren't going to call me big brother out in public?"
