"Are we close?" Mrs Laura asked me as we pulled into the complex
"Yes... It's all the way in the back the last building"
"It's going to be okay" My mom whispered in my ear as Mrs Laura ran over the speed bumps
"But mom... What if he dies.." I sobbed
"We're not going to think like that okay?... John how soon will the ambulance be here?" My mom asked
Mr. John called as we were on our way here.
"They said 10 minutes" he spoke with uncertainty
"10 minutes! Call them again!" Mrs Laura Screamed
"Right here park here" I blurted as we got in front of the building
I rushed out the car and up the steps. We lived on the second floor. I left my mom and all of them behind as I used my key to get in.
"ZO! WHERE ARE YOU?" I screamed rushing to our bedroom..
I stood in shock when I saw him on the bed. There was a pill bottle on the floor and he was holding our picture...
"No no no please god no!!" I grabbed him tears rushing down my face
"Oh no!!" my mom said as she rushed into the room. Mrs Laura and kobi were right behind her...
"MOM HE'S NOT BREATHING HELP ME!! PLEASEE!"
"Okay baby move!" My mom yelled helping me put him on the floor. She started CPR.. then suddenly I couldn't breathe...
"I can't breathe... I can't breathe"
"Look at me Aluna" kobi got down on the floor grabbing my hands. I could hear Mr John cussing out the people on the phone, I could hear my mom counting and Mrs Laura crying but I couldn't see.. everything was blurry.. my chest felt so heavy.. I can't lose him... I can't...
"ALUNA!"
"ye-ye-yess"
"Breathe look at me and breathe"
"Kobi is he dead? Oh god" I gasped trying to catch my breath
"Your mom is still doing CPR...but you have to have faith.. you have to breathe he needs to know you're here..."
"Okay..."I sobbed inhaling and exhaling
"That's it.. just like that"
"MOM TELL ME WHAT'S HAPPENING!"
"don't look over there breathe.. inhale exhale" kobi said
"Okay" I said again following his instructions
I could finally see my mom breathing into his mouth. Mrs Laura was praying right next to her. I let go of one of kobi's hands and grabbed Zo's.
"Please god please don't do this to him... He needs help... He needs you. It's not his time yet.. he's only 18... He's been through so much so much you know... He didn't mean to hurt me... Just give him back please please!"
"Come on Zo.. come on!" My mom said continuing chest compressions.
"Fuck.. fuck" kobi started to cry
"Where's the fucking ambulance!!?" Mrs Laura Screamed
"They're still telling me 10 minutes.. they're asking what he took" Mr John said trying to hold his composure
