Chapter 29

The next morning

"what are you doing?" she asked Andy with a puzzled look on her face.

" I could ask you the same thing!" he whispered, while winking at her.

Walking down the hall Andy asked "would you like a drink or something?"

"no thanks. I was just leaving."

Andy had a confused look on his face. "Why?"

"because I need to get back to Uncle John. He sent me a text asking where I was and when I was coming home." Mia lied.

"but you'll be back here for the party tonight? Right?"

"hopefully!" she faked a smile.

"would you like a lift home?" he asked.

"no thanks I-."

She was cut of by Andy walking past her placing one finger on her lips to make her quiet and reaching past her to grab his keys.

"come on!" he smiled.

Mia rolled her eyes. It's not like the house was really that far away. It was just a few blocks down the road.

"have fun with Bradie?" Andy winked. With an expression on his face like he didn't really want to know because they were brothers.

"yeah it was the best night ever!" she said sarcastically.

"no seriously? You didn't look to thrilled this morning when I caught you sneaking out of his room."

"I don't really want to talk about it right now." she said looking out of the window. Luckily they had arrived outside the house.

"I'll see you tonight!" Andy said looking really excited.

"not if I see you first!" she giggled.

She looked around the kitchen and living room. No sign of anyone. They're probably still asleep she reminded herself.

Wait. What time is it? She asked herself pulling her phone out of her bra.

8:40am

Was the time it read. After her blinking a few times she wondered.

Why was Andy up that early?

She crept up the staircase as quietly as she could.

When she reached her room she shut the door behind her.

Putting her phone on charge then pulling her hair out of her pony tail.

Her phone lit up. She looked at it seeing there was a text. Oh great. I didn't let Bradie know that I was leaving. Well I wasn't going to wake him up I was gonna get Andy to let him know.

She unlocked her phone to find that the text wasn't from Bradie. She sighed of relief. Why was she feeling like this towards him? He hadn't done anything wrong.

There was a slight knock on her door, followed by it opening.

"I heard you just got home!" Luke said with one eyebrow raised.

"what are you doing up this early?" she asked looking confused.

"can't sleep!" he said wiping the sleep out of his eyes.

He walked in and sat on the edge of her bed, making himself comfortable.

She never really talked to Luke much. He was always busy with sports or video games.

"can I ask you something?" he said turning his body around so it was facing her. She was still standing up but decided to take a seat on the bed next to him.

Sitting cross legged on the bed facing him and she said.

"yeah sure! What's up?" looking concerned, because he never really ever talked to her.

"I need your advise with something" he looked down at the ground. His cheeks turning a little bit pink.

"what can I do?" she said. Trying to make him feel comfortable. Because he obviously wasn't!
