6. Brokenhearted

Jade's POV

I whipped out my phone and dialed Leigh's number. I wasn't ready to go home yet and I also wasn't ready to hear Jesy's "explanation."

My phone rang a few times before Leigh said, "Hello?" "Hey Leigh, could you come get me please?" "Sure. Where are you?" "Hold on. I'm gonna go find out." I left the bathroom to see which street Serena's house is on.

I walked into the backyard, ignoring the stares and murmurs of other people. "Jade! Where are you going?" Serena called out to me. "Home." I said. I left before Serena could beg me to stay.

I walked out of the parking lot to head towards the street. I received my texts from Jesy but I ignored them all. "Leigh you still there?" I asked. "Yeah I'm here. I'm just getting my stuff together so I can pick you up from wherever." Leigh said.

I chuckled to myself. I finally reached the end of the street. "Hey Leigh. Serena's house is on Glacier. Glacier Avenue." I said. "Alright. I'm on my way." Leigh said, hanging up the phone.

I decided to go back to Serena's parking lot so I could properly wait for Leigh there. About 5 minutes later, Leigh-Anne pulled up. Then I heard "Jade, wait!" Ugh. I'll deal with her later. I thought.

I quickly got in the car. "Step on it, Leigh." She did and we were leaving Serena's house in a hurry.

Leigh-Anne's POV

"Step on it, Leigh." Jade told me after she got in the car. I pressed my foot on the gas and drove back to my house. "Jade would you like to tell me what happened?" I asked while driving. "I'll explain everything when we get to your place." Jade said.

*skipping the rest of the drive*

"Alright Jade, start explaning." I said to her as soon as I closed my bedroom door. "Well Jesy and I were at Serena's party. We wished her a 'Happy Birthday.' Jesy introduced me to some of her friends and after that she left to go get some drinks. She was gone for 15 minutes before I decided to go into Serena's house to find her. That's when I heard someone moan her name." Jade started to cry at this point so I decided not to question her anymore.

All I did was I held Jade in my arms while she cried. I used to think Jesy was a nice girl but now, she's a bitch. I really wanna hurt her for making Jade cry.

After a few minutes, Jade stopped crying. "I'm sorry for staining your shirt." I looked down. My blue shirt was now covered in tear stains. "Don't even worry about that." I reassured her.

I heard a knock on the door. "Leigh, I'm going to work." Mum called. I forgot that she worked as a nurse at the hospital. "Ok Mum. I love you." I called. "Love you too." Mum left the house.

There was a moment of silence. I looked at Jade. She was looking at me. I felt her hand brush my face. "You know, Leigh. I never realized how much I like you." Jade suddenly said. "You like me?" I asked, surprised. Jade nodded.

That's when Jade leaned in and kissed me.
