Jade's POV
I hugged Leigh as tight as possible. The last thing I wanted to do was die. Beside me, Leigh was doing her best to not panic but I could tell that she wanted to.
Meanwhile, the burglars were forcing others to get down on the ground and be quiet. I knew that I had to find a way to get out of there. Whenever one of the burglars turned their backs, Leigh and I talked to the other captives so we could plan an escape.
So Jeff, the cashier at Walmart, thinks we can escape by distracting them. Then his girlfriend, Melanie, would call the cops. Jeff volunteered himself to be the distraction. I looked up then said, "Jeff the coast is clear." He scooted out from under the table to find the burglars.
Meanwhile, Leigh, Melanie and I quickly got up and ran to the nearest exit. Fortunately, the coast was still clear. "Alright guys. Time for you to go. It was nice meeting you and please be careful." Melanie said. We shook her hand and swiftly left Walmart with the bags in our hands.
*the next day*
"Oh my God!" Perrie gasped. "I know right?" I asked as Pez took a bite out of the tuna fish sandwich. "That must have been really scary!" "Believe me, it was." Leigh added. Leigh, Pez and I were all sitting at our usual table talking about yesterday's event.
*BOOM*
It started to rain outside. Just what we all needed.
