8. Stay The Night

Jade's POV

Leigh and I quickly put our clothes back on after we heard a window smash. Leigh went in her closet and got a baseball bat out. "Let's go see what's happening." Leigh told me.

Quickly and quietly, Leigh and I entered into the hallway. I stayed behind her since I was terrified. "Let's go downstairs." Leigh whispered in my ear. I nodded. We slowly walked downstairs until I put my foot on the second or third step and it creaked. "Shh." Leigh whispered. "Who's here?" A man with deep voice spoke. He shined a flashlight in our eyes. "Not cool dude." I said.

The man scoffed. "Whatever." "What do you want from us?" Leigh demanded. "This." The strange man picked up a flat screen tv. Leigh gasped. "That's my dad's you idiot!" "That's my dad's you idiot!" The man mimicked. Alright, enough's enough.

"Hey don't mimic her douche!" I screamed. "Guess who finally decided to speak up?" Even though he couldn't see, I rolled my eyes. "Oh shut up dickhead!" I snapped.

I wouldn't be surprised if Leigh was surprised by my sudden swearing.

Leigh-Anne's POV

"Oh shut up dickhead!" Jade snapped. I gasped. "Dang girl." I said. Jade giggled. I love when she does that. It's so cute. "Are you two done? Cause I have places to be." The strange man said. "Oh no you don't!" That's when I sprung into action.

I ran as quickly as I could to the man and beat him with my baseball bat. "Ow! What the....! Get offa me!!" The man cried. "Give the TV back!!" I demanded. "Never!!" The man screamed.

I continued to beat him with the baseball bat until he said, "Alright already! Take your fucking tv!!" "Yay!" I attempted to pick up the tv. "Jade. A little help here!"

I heard her footsteps come down the stairs until I felt her presence next to me. We both lifted the tv off of the strange man and we sit it down a few feet away from him. "Alright, mister. Get out of my house!" I demanded.

"And what if I don't?" I grabbed the baseball bat. "I'll beat you again." The man laughed. So I hit him with the bat. "Alright! I'm going!" With those words, he left through the front door.

"Yes!" Jade and I high-fived each other. "Leigh?" "Yes Jade?" I asked. "Can I stay the night?" "Sure. What about your mum?" "I'll text her." Jade went back upstairs to get her phone. I followed her, making sure it was okay for Jade to stay.
