The headmaster led me down the confusing hallways of the castle school place. He explained to me the meaning of the dorms but I zoned out thinking of cake and sleep. I did catch a few words that he said, something about no one actually being in there for almost a hundred years, other than the occasional house-elf cleaning, whatever those are.
After I got settled in I Iris Messaged Will at camp." Oh, Fleecy, do me a solid, show me Will Solace at Camp Halfblood." the rainbow shimmered and revealed Will. Although it wasn't the Will I was expecting to see, he was crying on the floor of his office.
"Will?" I called out to him. He looked up but didn't look my way, he closed his eyes shut and shook his head.
"No, Nico isn't here," he said to himself softly.
"Sunshine," I said softly. "Please look up."
He looked up and looked around. He noticed the call and his eyes lightened up even through his sadness. "Neeks?"
"It's me," I said softly.
"When are you coming back?"
"I don't think I'm coming home for a while."
"Home?"
"Home is where you are sunshine," I told him softly, I couldn't handle it any longer, I cut the call to him and let the shadows carry me to camp. I made the shadows drop me in his office, he was crying even more now, I touched him and he pushed me away.
"Leave me alone Kayla."
"No, Will, please, it's me."
He looked up at me and crushed me in a hug. "I said no Shadow magic."
"I don't care, what's going on?"
"It's my fault." he cried as he put his head in his hands. She was a daughter of Iris, she was eight. She knew she was going to die, yet she remained light-hearted. I should have tried harder."
"Will," I said caressing his face. "You can't prevent death, she would have wanted you to move on." he looked up at me through teary eyes. "You must live on." he leaned into my hand.
"I don't want you to leave."
"I have a class to teach sunshine."
"What class?"
"Defence against the dark arts."
He managed a small smile. "That sounds like it was made for you, Nico. Do you have to go?"
"Sadly but first I need you to feel better."
"Okay, I'll try."
"Good," I paused, "now I will sing for you, but you must not make fun of me."
"Never." he smiled.
I took a deep breath and closed my eyes leaning back against the wall. You are my sunshine, my only sunshine,
