Chapter Thirty Four - River Styx

"Will!" I yelled. "WILLIAM! Stay with me! Don't you dare!" I slapped his face.

"Nico..." he groaned. "Sorry... Tell... love... you..."

"William! William Solace!" I yelled but my voice was faded. "Will..."

"Okay, we're here," I say as we walk in front of the river Styx.

"So... how do we do this?"

"I go in, think about something or someone who keeps we connected with the shore. And hopefully, I won't die."

He sighed and ran a hand through his curly hair. "Okay.  Please Nico, make it out alive."

I nod. "I'll try." I gave him a quick hug and walked in. Unlike Percy I didn't land on my face once I got in. I slowly sunk to the bottom, I held my breath. I imagined Will, it was like I was disappearing into the shadows and he pulled me out.

"On on death boy." mist him said.

"Don't call me death boy sunshine." I remarked.

"Whatever. " He replied placing a kiss on my forehead before he healed me again. I imagined that I was being pulled out by his hand. I made my Achilles heel on a tattoo I have on my shoulder only Will knows where the tattoo is. I heard Will laugh before I was shot onto the ground near Leo. My skin was burning, Leo poured some nectar on it and gave me ambrosia. He poured a bit of Unicorn drought on me as well. I gasped for more air and laid there for a few minutes before standing up. I felt amazing, for the first time in a while I felt invincible.

"Thanks Leo."

"Y-you're welcome." he cleared his throat looking distraught. "Um..." he pointed behind me.

I turned and saw my father. "Nico." he said too calmly making my skin crawl.

"Hello." I winced at my cowardly voice.

"Nico are you okay?"

"Um," I scanned my body. "I'm fine."

He shook his head. "Come we need to talk. Forge spawn, follow me."

We both nodded and walked behind him. I kept close to Leo just in case. "Valdez wait here with my wife." he said as we walked into his palace. Persephone was reading on her throne.

"It's okay Leo." I say. "If anything happens lit this place up." I then whisper. I see him nod and I turn to walk with my father.

We walk into the garden, He's been silent so far. "Nico..."

"Yes father?"

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. I-"

"Nico, I don't mean physically I mean emotionally."

What? "I-I'm fine dad. I-I mean..."

"What happened with that Will boy?"

"What Will?"

"Nico the spawn of apollo. You've dated him for two year. What happened?"

I looked at him shocked before all my feelings came flowing out. I tried to stop the tears from falling out, I wiped them away trying to hold everything back. I slowly fell to the ground, my hands in my face as I silently cried. Hades dropped onto his knees and held me. "I'm sorry Nico." He said softly. "I'm going to kill him."

I grabbed on to his robe before he could get up, I clung onto him."Please don't."

"But he hurt my only child." he replied making me look at him.
