We walked back the way I first came through, Angelos walked behind me very protectively. I didn't know much about her but I'm sure Annabeth would love to fill us in. Angelos lagged behind me but refused to let me stop so she could rest. As we approached the other two Will looked angry and worried. Harry made eye contact but never acknowledged that we were there. Angelos had hidden in the shadows trying to hide.

"He said he would be back soon. He's been gone for an hour." Will yelled at Harry. "I'm going after him he could be hurt... Or worse." He tried to walk past Harry but he grabbed his arm and cleared his throat. He pointed behind Will. Will looked confused but turned around.

A look of relief flooded his face. "Death Boy!! You're alive." He ran at me only to be stopped by a goddess. I guess the Dementors weren't kidding about her being loyal.

"Stay back child." She demanded.

I sighed," Angelos, it's okay. He's my boyfriend I told you about."

"The one who kept you from fading away from existence?" She scanned him. She moved to a side. "I approve."

"I wasn't aware I was in need of your approval." I retort.

"I'm a goddess. You always need a god's approval."

Will tackled me in a hug and began fussing over me planting occasional kisses on my face. He pulled me into another tight hug and kissed me better this time on the lips. "PDA! PDA!" Harry yelled and averted his eyes.

I laughed. "Whatever," I said, I kissed Will again and when I pulled away I shoved my face into the crook of his neck. He laughed.

"Where's the snake?" Harry asked.

"Gone. I killed it."

"We didn't hear a body flop so we figured you were still fighting him."

I pulled away from Will and pulled out my sword. "My sword can suck the very essence and soul of its opponent. Say you, for example, It would suck your soul and consume your shadow. You will be left with nothing but eternal punishment. Say the Basilisk, as it's a snake with no soul I sucked its very essence out of it until it crumbled to dust. My sword can only be wielded by the children of Hades or Pluto with the exception of a few powerful deities." I explained. He looked horrified. "Percy calls it a black nightmare. Scares off any monster not allowing its essence to return to Tartarus for regeneration. Works on Immortals, Demigods, Giants, Gods, Titans, and mortals."

He held his mouth open. I clapped my hands together, "Well... we've best be heading back."

The boys nodded and Angelos stood beside me as if to protect me. It wouldn't seem so hard to believe. I grabbed Will's hand. "I'll shadow travel us up." Will looked like he was going to protest but Harry said last time he was here he was carried up by a phoenix and we don't happen to have one of those. So...

Harry grabbed Wills hand. I held Wills and Angelos held my other hand. "One... two... the-" I didn't finish the count. I pulled us all into a shadow. We then landed on the floor of the great hall. Angelos and I standing whereas the other two fell on their face.

Turns out we landed in the Great Hall during dinner. I chuckled awkwardly and helped Will up. Harry was on his feet when he felt eyes on him. "Mr. Solace. Professor Di Angelo and Harry. How nice of you to join us for dinner. Please take your seats." I looked around to see where Angelos was but she was on the other side of the room watching us in the shadows.

We nodded to Dumbledore and began to walk to our seats. As we were going to part way with Harry I grabbed his arm. "Please don't tell anyone about us. They don't need to know yet." I pleaded. He nodded I sighed in relief and released his arm. The Hall was watching us walk to our seats.

"What did he want?" I heard someone at that table ask.

"It's a secret." He replies. I sat at the end of the High Table with Will.

"We should tell them," Will said.

I frowned. "What do you mean?"

He grabbed my hand. "About us. It's been years Nico. How much longer do we have to hide?"

"I- 'm not sure. I just- " I sighed.

"Do you love me?"

"Yes! Of course, I do. Why wouldn't I?"

"You won't do this one thing for me." He released my hand and ran his hand through his hair.

"I'm not sure how they'll react."

He slammed his hand on the table gaining the attention of a few students close to the table. I waved them off and they went back to their conversations. But that didn't keep Angelos away. She was now closer than she was before, I'm sure she was ready to intervene if she felt like she needed to. "Now's not the time Will. We have a war to fight."

"I know but now's a better time than ever. They'll know. If you or I die... Then we died with a secret that doesn't need to be one." he argues loudly.

I sigh and stand up. "Can we continue this somewhere else? Like our dorm?"

He stands up roughly, his chair falling back. Angelos looks ready to pounce him to keep him away. "No! We'll do this here." he retorted.

He stepped closer to me and I stepped back. We kept that up until I was nearly backed up into a wall.  Angelos stepped between us, she growled at him. Will backed off and sat down. "Will..." I try but he turns away. He shook his head, I knew what he meant. I didn't want to belive it. He was willing to give up everything for the sake of this argument.

"If that's what you want." I replied, I used to have such a hard time smiling. It's always easy to fall back into your old ways, the corners of my mouth formed into one last smile. I walked up to Will and made him look at me. "Don't be sad, we ended this with a smile." I gave him a teary smile before he looked away. I looked up to the ceiling, my tears refusing to fall.

"Come on Angelos," I called as I turned away. The shadows clinged to me as though it was a robe, lights went out as I walked past them. The aura around me dimmed, there was no more light in my soul to keep the dark at bay.

Just like that it was over, I was back to scowling. I guess the dementors were right about her being loyal, she followed me as I walked.

We walked to the woods all the way to the Shrieking Shack. I guess that's where I'm staying tonight. I looked behind me to see her still there. I saw the castle from a distance, the lights still on. I made a mental note that when I survive- if I survive this war, I'm going to draw this scene.

I walked into the shack and up the stairs. It was a mess in here. Nevertheless, I've slept in worse places than this. Although, I can fix it up with some magic and make sure the bed and couch are good as new. "Angelos, I know you're there." I tell her. She comes out of the shadows.

"Sorry."

I sighed. "No problem I could use the company."

"Do you want to talk about it?" she asks.

I shake my head. "I just want to sleep." She nodded in understanding.

"I'll take the couch," I say. She frowns. "I will. You take the bed. I may be gay and dark but I am from the 19th century. I am a gentleman. Besides a soft bed won't stop the nightmares from coming."

"I thought you said you don't normally get nightmares."

"That was if Will was with me. But he's not. Not anymore anyway. I didn't want to tell people yet about us, but he wanted the world to know. We just ended things an hour ago and now I am going to have a sleepless night. If I end up yelling or thrashing don't get near me. I have sever PTSD from walking through tarturus on my own. Just an FYI."

She tilted her head to the left in confusion. "For your information," I tell her. She nodded and laid on the bed. "Goodnight Di Angelo."

"Goodnight Angelos." I laid on the couch until my eyes fluttered closed, cornering me in darkness. Nothing could keep the nightmares at bay now.

Comment your thoughts. I know I broke your hearts, right? I sure did break my own, I had to up and leave. Rewriting this breakup does not get any easier.
