Chapter Fifteen - Christmas Part 3

"I got a new life, without an annoying little brother dragging me along everywhere." she spat at me, I refused to let my tears fall from my eyes. "You should leave the mortal world. No one wants you there, everyone will leave you eventually. Just like I did."

"No, you're wrong," I replied. "I have people."

She opened her mouth but it wasn't her voice that came out. "Wake up! Nico! Wake Up!!"

I awoke abrubtly and in a sweat, I could see Hazel and Will looming over me. I sat up and acted like everything was fine, "So, when's lunch?" 

They glanced at each other, Will looked at his watch, "In about half an hour."

"Really? Awesome," I replied moving to the side of the bed. I tried to get up but Hazel prevented it.

"Nico, no."

"What, why not?"

"You just had a nightmare, you must talk about it." she forced. 

"I don't have to do anything."

"Yes, you do. If you don't talk, you'll never move on from what happened."

"Look, you expect me, the prince of darkness to talk about his feelings? You want to talk? Then tell me why you're really here?"

She looked astounded that I talked back to her, "What do you mean? I don't have a reason, I just wanted to see my brother."

"You told me to Iris message you if we were missing each other. Not to contact each other in person unless it was important. So, tell me, why are you here?" I looked at her with a raised eyebrow, my arms crossed. I could see Will looking around the room trying to mind his own business. "It doesn't matter if you share or not, I'm not telling you about my feelings or my dreams."

"Frank asked me to marry him." She blurted, "I- I said yes."

I was silent, "You're what?" She stepped back, "You are doing what?"

"I thought that maybe since demigods live short lives that-"

"What the actual fuck?!" I cried before lowering my voice to a deadly whisper. "You are fifteen years of age. You are not to marry someone."

"Nico." I heard Will warn, the temperature in the room was dropping. 

"No, Will, I shall not calm down. Che cazzo sta succedendo in Questo mondo?! Matrimonio?" (What the fuck is going on with this world?! Marriage?)

"Nico, please understand that I love him. You know our kind die at a young age."

"I didn't even get asked for your hand in marriage."

"Why would he do that? He doesn't need your permission. I want to get married now, you have to be happy for me as I would be for you."

"Oh hell yeah he does." Hell slipped from my mouth, I managed to hold back a shudder. "I am your only living sibling. He should have come for your hand." 

"Oh please." she replied crossing her arms, "All you do is push me away, you aren't my real brother. We come from two different versions of parents."

I froze, I turned away from her. "Hazel, get out," I replied. 

"I'm sorry, I didn't mean that."

"Yes you did, get out."

"Nico, I'm your sister. Please-"
