Chapter Thirty One - Dinner

- LMAO STUPID ORANGE ASS, don't disgrace the oopalumpas. They don't deserve to be compared to this- person. They're too good for that.

When I finally fell asleep for the fifth time tonight it wasn't a bad dream. So I slept decently until I was awoken by being yelled in my ear.

"Figlio di puttana!" I yell and stand up straight- I mean...

"Sorry son of hades." I heard Angelos apologize. "It's half past one and you were yelling."

"Yeah that'll happen at times. Anyway what time did you say it was?"

"Half past one."

"In the morning or night?"

"Afternoon?"

I facepalm my face. "Shit I need to change and go meet the others. I'll be introducing you to the others." I frown. "Please don't respond to the questions they ask."

"Why not?"

"Some of them are going to try and get you on their side and right now you're the only friend I've got," I reply. She nodded and we walk out of the little house together. We both hissed at the light. I look at her confusingly.

"I used to live in the underworld hiding from Hera's wrath... I helped a mortal woman when she was sick, I helped with Hera's ointments. Hades -your father- granted me safety in his realm I became known as 'She of the underworld'. I've lived in the dark for so long I don't think I'll get used to the light soon."

I nod my head. "I agree, I've spent so much of my life training in the underworld by skeletons I have my own room in his palace. I've grown accustomed to being in the dark. Light is a stranger to me."

We both sighed. "Come on. I'll shadow travel us there." I said.

I grabbed her hand and I shadow traveled us into the dorm. "Give me a second to change." she nodded. I walked to where my clothes were in a dorm and moved them to another. Will can have the room we used to share.

I walked out the door after I changed, I ran into Will. 

"Nico..." he began, I scowled at him. There was no longer a smile there when I saw him. I went to walk past him but he stopped me. "Where have you been? It's one in the afternoon."

"Why do you care?"

"Because you never came back here."

I scowled and sighed, "I stayed with Angelos."

He frowned. "Why?"

"Because she's not the one who ended anything between me." I snapped at him. Hurt flashed between his eyes.

"Nico... You brought that on yourself," he said looking away from me.

It took all my willpower not to slap him right there. I poked a finger into his chest. 

"You want to do this here? Fine!" I raised my voice. "I had a choice whether or not to let you into my life. Gods that's on me for letting you. You know that a son of Hades is hated for bringing darkness into the world. The only thing that's ever happened to me during this lifetime is being pushed away from others cause I'm too scary, not being accepted because my father is Hades, and being used because I'm always the last resort. Bianca died leaving me by myself at ten years old. I was alone and afraid of my powers. Minos- a spirit came to me and told me what I was. I learned everything from him, I ended up learning he used me for his own vendetta as well. Camp Half-Blood didn't want me, Gods I didn't even have a cabin until I built one myself." I seethed. "I wasn't accepted by either camp. No one noticed when I disappeared for months almost an entire year. No one noticed when I first started fading. No one fucking cares." I sighed. "So yeah... I didn't want to tell anyone yet. You didn't have to end it. You no longer have an impact on my life. If it were you in my place I would have given you time. You have given up on me. I should have ended this pain two years ago if I knew it would have ended up like this." I had a tear on my face. He reached out to wipe it off I shoved him away and brushed past him. I ran into Jason sitting by the fire.
